Digital acquisition of new Cardmembers is a key driver for growth in the UK market. This success is built on integrated, results-driven execution, ongoing innovation, a strong team, and a focus on robust controls & process excellence. The Digital Marketing Manager role sits within the Acquisition Capabilities & Conversion Team, within UK Card Services, which is responsible for managing the UK’s digital acquisition capabilities to acquire new Cards across our consumer and commercial portfolio.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The position is an exciting opportunity to drive & own the acquisition content strategy for our online acquisition capability channels (Cardshop, EApply & SEO). The successful candidate will drive tangible growth for the business within a fast-paced environment, focusing on these 3 core pillars;
- Seamless delivery of UK market initiatives such as product/benefit refreshes, limited time offers, regulatory updates, etc… across the broad set of acquisition capability assets
- Optimisation of content focused on improving conversion efficiency, ensuring a customer-centric approach is prioritized at all times, for example, unlocking growth through strategic themes such as through-the-line consistency, premiumization & card-specific value prop content optimisation
- Elevating the deliverables, tracking & visibility of our Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategy to drive New Accounts Acquired (NAA) growth, and evolve the approach and process controls in line with the changing organic search landscape
Key Responsibilities;
- Own and maintain digital pages across UK acquisition capability channels (all acquisition Cardshop pages, SEO pages and application journeys).
- Flawlessly plan and execute multi-channel market initiative releases, collaborating with a broad internal matrix of stakeholders to effectively manage the release calendar and adjust with agility when required, e.g. from central team technology owners, acquisition colleagues, local market product owners and multiple other internal stakeholders such as Risk, Compliance, etc. (product refreshes, limited time offers, regulatory changes, campaigns etc.).
- Drive process excellence & enhanced controls, strengthening the end-to-end process of management of acquisition capabilities, to deliver positive customer outcomes & adherence to internal Project Guardian requirements.
- Champion the customer and User Experience (UX) best practice at all times, challenging stakeholders to be led by a customer-centric approach, acting as the custodian of the acquisition experience.
- Support issue management (discovery, escalation, documentation, remediation, resolution, etc…) across our acquisition capabilities, ensuring robustness of due diligence and a focus on delivering seamless acquisition journeys for our prospects.
- Support key 2026 ‘big bet’ capability uplifts & the associated change management required from projects such as Risk Based Pricing, and Cardshop infrastructure uplifts.
- Analyze the end-to-end acquisition content opportunity, using data analytics available and comparing to other markets/UK competitors, to successfully develop and execute content optimisation opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider Marketing Team to amplify impact of, and maximize acquisition for, campaigns and Card products.
- Manage the UK SEO strategy carving out effective prioritisation of opportunities and supporting execution, with a focus on measurement and ROI, partnering with central team and external agency experts. Elevate the visibility of the strategy and partnership, in particular on the opportunities & risks associated with the changing organic search landscape.
- Regularly update wider business teams and senior leadership on project statuses.
- Lead, coach and inspire a team of two Digital Acquisition Marketing Executives.

The candidate will need to be highly organised to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritising effectively. It is essential that the candidate is a team player able to work collaboratively with a variety of internal groups, as well as have the ability to drive projects independently. Some other key requirements:
- Experience/understanding of digital acquisition capabilities and search engine optimisation (SEO)
- Demonstrated ability to drive desired business results and outcomes in a fast-moving environment, with a track record of successful project management, delivery and organisational skills
- Strong experience in evolving process excellence & governance controls, and embedding them with rigour into team processes
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, and proven ability to navigate a complex matrix of internal and external partners
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, preferably experience with regular updates to senior leaders, and ability to articulate complex ideas simply
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, with ability to find ways around obstacles and challenges with a positive attitude, and adapt to changing circumstances quickly
- Demonstrated innovation and creativity, with the courage to pursue excellent new ideas and the business acumen to balance risk and reward
- Passionate people leader, able to role model and build a positive team culture, to motivate, nurture and develop talent through coaching
- Strategic mind-set, with ability to connect the dots across key acquisition channels while ensuring appropriate focus on detail
- Experience improving online conversion funnels from various traffic sources
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to find actionable insights from a wealth of first and third-party data, and from competitor analysis
- Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment with enthusiasm, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, willingness to work flexible hours when required on release launch dates.
