About the Role
In this role, you will be an important member of a small but effective internal marketing team that will help HARMAN Australia and New Zealand build and grow the success of all marketing campaigns for the JBL and Harman Kardon brands.
This role is suited to a newer Marketing graduate or a Marketer with up to two years’ experience who wants to learn and support all areas of marketing including new product launches, digital, social, retail, ambassador and influencer marketing, sponsorship and events for a consumer electronics brand.
You will work alongside the Retail Channel Marketing Manager and Brand Managers to deliver high-quality results with the goal of bringing best in-class experiences to life for our consumer at various touchpoints. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support marketing activity across Australia and New Zealand.
The ideal candidate will be a marketing generalist who can work independently as you will also be tasked with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting of data and results from social, digital, PR, Event and paid media activity and populate monthly reports to provide insights that drive future business decisions.
You will report directly to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, and assist the full ANZ Marketing team, managing JBL and Harman Kardon activity across ANZ to meet overall marketing and sales KPIs.
What You Will Do
• Assist and support Australia and New Zealand Marketing teams with Digital, Social and Event marketing initiatives including content creation, ambassador engagement, event procurement and logistics.
• Assist and support Retail Channel Marketing Manager with planning, logistics, freight, merchandise procurement, product procurement, graphics creation, room or space set up and pack down for major retail conferences each year.
• Assist and support Retail Channel Marketing Manager with planning and procurement for Harman Australia Retail Field Team requirements.
• Assist and support Retail Channel Marketing Manager with various retail channel requests including catalogue artwork, Point of Sale projects, website banners and landing pages, video or social assets throughout the year.
• Manage and maintain the Harman ANZ Product Portal pages with up-to-date New Product images, videos and documents.
• Assist and support planning and asset management between Global Marketing Team, APAC Marketing Team and Country Teams to ensure all formats and requirements are provided.
• Assist Marketing Team with Ambassador, Influencer, Campus Ambassador and Event product, merchandise and gifting procurement and despatch.
• Assist Marketing Team at Ambassador photo and video shoots throughout the year.
• Attend and assist Marketing Team with Harman owned and sponsored events, activations and store events throughout the year.
• Deep dive analysis on Australia and New Zealand marketing activity across various touchpoints, analyse and report by populating marketing activity data points in master excel spreadsheet with actuals each month based on forecasted KPIs and spends.
• Populate Marketing Scorecard Powerpoint presentation with results including Targets, Achievements and Visualisations of activity for Events, NPI Launches and Roadshows throughout the year.
• Ad hoc Marketing Administration support.
What You Need to Be Successful
• Minimum two years working experience as a marketing graduate or generalist.
• Strong understanding of social media.
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Social listening tools and Excel/Powerpoint
• Canva or other desktop publishing program experience a plus
• A passion for and desire to learn more across all facets of marketing
Bonus Points if You Have
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing or related fields
• Prior experience in Consumer Electronics or FMCG industry.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities on tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a close knit team environment, and understanding what it means to achieve success with others
