Director, Content, Creator & Influencer Marketing
The Director, Content and Creator Marketing is responsible for defining and advancing Warner Music Group’s global creator marketing and owned and operated content strategy — driving innovation, measurement, and impact.
This role establishes and drives adoption of global frameworks, tools, and insights designed to empower regional and label marketing teams (ROs) in order to maximize creator-driven campaigns.
The Director, Content and Creator conceives and develops WMG global owned and operated properties. From channel conception to content seeding, the Director of Content and Creator Marketing is responsible for delivering earned media value through content creation and amplification.
As the head of the Global Content and Creator team, the Director oversees and supports in the execution of global creator activations delivered from the center. Working on commission from the Global Priorities team or an RO, the Content and Creator team ensures centrally run campaigns have a truly global perspective and serve to amplify artist and track marketing campaigns.
Working cross-functionally with leaders in Platform Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, and Marketing Enablement, this role ensures creator activity is measurable, scalable, and strategically integrated within WMG’s global marketing operations.
Primary Responsibilities;
Global Strategy, Frameworks & Executions
- Develop and oversee global tracking, measurement, and reporting frameworks for creator activity across the WMG.
- Select and drive adoption of scaled creator tooling, from outreach to AI enabled content production.
- Define best practices for creator marketing execution, establishing consistent standards across regions and labels.
- Deliver campaigns that uphold all best practices and where possible, push forward WMG’s understanding of what ‘good’ looks like in the creator space
- Partner with the SVP, Marketing Intelligence to quantify the role of creator activations in WMG’s marketing mix — determining current and target levels of activity and then deliver performance scorecards.
- Create an impact framework that defines what “good” creator marketing looks like by geography, genre, and campaign type.
Content Network Development
- Build and scale the global seeding program for WMG’s owned and operated (O&O) network, driving adoption and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with regional teams to enhance O&O reach, ensuring channels are authentic, culturally relevant, and aligned with artist objectives where appropriate..
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and content amplification through creator communities globally.
- Partner with the Director Content Production to produce impactful visual assets that help to establish the O&O brands
Insights & Collaboration
- Provide global insights and guidance to regional offices on request, helping accelerate international momentum for developing artists.
- Work closely with the Director of Platform Marketing to align creator efforts with editorial placements, maximizing exposure and return on investment.
- Collaborate with the SVP, Direct-to-Fan (D2F) to integrate creator initiatives into broader marketing and measurement strategies, reinforcing WMG’s AVP.
- Partner with the SVP, Marketing Enablement to ensure the technology and tools supporting creator activity are cutting-edge, scalable, and effectively deployed across markets.
Measurement & Optimization
- Define global KPIs and benchmarks for creator activations, ensuring activities are consistently measured and optimized.
- Develop reporting and analytical tools to track creator-driven performance and inform future investment decisions.
- Surface actionable insights to senior leadership, translating performance data into strategic recommendations.
Operational & Administrative Oversight
- Manage the Team Assistant, overseeing administrative and organizational support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide direction and prioritization guidance to optimize workload and support broader department efficiency.
Role requirements
- 8+ years of experience in influencer, creator, or digital marketing, ideally within music, entertainment, or global consumer brands.
- Deep understanding of the global creator ecosystem, including content platforms, talent networks, and emerging creator trends.
- Proven track record in developing and scaling global measurement frameworks and marketing best practices.
- Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional senior stakeholders across marketing, data, and technology functions.
- Demonstrated expertise in balancing creative thinking with operational rigor and measurement discipline.
- Familiarity with creator management and tracking tools, data platforms, and marketing automation systems.
