The role & impact
As a Senior Copywriter, you will help shape how Xero communicates across the UK and EMEA region. Working directly with the regional marketing team while being part of our global in-house creative agency, you will bring ideas to life through words that move people. You will ensure every piece of work feels clear, human, and distinctly Xero, balancing craft and speed to deliver work that is on-brief and on-brand.
You will write across a wide range of projects, from campaign and product messaging to lifecycle, digital, and social content. In this role, you will leverage technology to accelerate execution while owning the creative and strategic vision, using AI as a tool to augment your thinking rather than replace it. Ultimately, you will create clear, engaging copy that drives results and helps supercharge business for our customers.
The team & how they connect
You will be part of 'The Hub', Xero’s global in-house creative agency, while working closely with the regional marketing team to support their day-to-day creative needs. This involves collaborating with designers, strategists, and marketers across the business to deliver creative ideas that connect across markets and maintain global consistency.
The team is currently working on / Initially, the role will focus on
- Writing and editing creative copy for campaigns, lifecycle journeys, digital experiences, and marketing materials across the region.
- Collaborating with the regional marketing team to support local campaigns and content needs.
- Adapting copy to suit regional nuances while ensuring the global brand tone remains consistent.
- Supporting campaign concepting to bring creative thinking and clarity to ideas that can scale globally.
Where and how you can work
This role is based in the UK, serving the UK & EMEA markets.
Here are some of the things we are looking for
- You have professional writing experience, whether in-house or at an agency, covering campaigns, digital, CRM, and social channels.
- Your portfolio demonstrates excellence in headline craft, concepting, and both long and short-form copy.
- Translating complex product messages into simple, human language is a key strength you bring to the team.
- You are comfortable partnering with designers, strategists, and marketers, with a sharp attention to detail.
- Experience in tech, SaaS, or B2B brand storytelling would be a strong advantage.
- Switching effortlessly between headlines, emails, scripts, landing pages, and social content is second nature to you.
