Your New Role...
The WBDUK Marketing department brings to life some of the most prolific films in the market such as Barbie, Wonka, A Minecraft Movie and Superman. Alongside original IP we are responsible for marketing and growing releases from key franchises across Animation and DC Comics.
You’ll play a key role in shaping campaigns that captivate audiences across theatrical, digital, and home entertainment windows.
As a Marketing Executive, you’ll support the Senior Marketing Manager within one of our film pods, managing a significant portion of our new release slate. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile titles, collaborate across divisions, and champion innovative marketing strategies that drive engagement and growth.
Your Role Accountabilities…
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of marketing campaigns for a selection of film titles.
- Lead workstreams and manage junior team members, ensuring smooth delivery of projects.
- Optimize marketing spend across platforms, leveraging insights and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated communications strategies.
- Act as a brand champion, fostering strong relationships across divisions including Consumer Products, Games, Theatrical & Home Entertainment Sales, Brand Partnerships, and TV Distribution.
- Work closely with Publicity teams to align strategies with talent availability and quality.
- Oversee the creation and review of marketing materials.
- Build strong connections with global teams, including Burbank and European offices.
- Identify and champion new growth opportunities throughout the film lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Proven experience in film marketing (other entertainment experience considered, but film strongly preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing budgets and understanding media planning/buying, particularly in digital.
- Skilled in planning social campaigns and managing posting across platforms with agencies.
- Knowledge of the UK home entertainment industry (digital and physical).
- A curious mindset, passion for film, and an eye for what captures attention.
- Courage to embrace innovation and new ideas.
- Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail, and presentation skills
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
