About the role
As the Content Marketing & Brand Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our content strategy and shaping our brand identity. You are first and foremost an accomplished writer, passionate about words and their power to inspire and influence. You love to be ‘on the tools’, crafting content of all kinds – eBooks, blogs, articles, sales collateral, presentations, case studies, etc. In addition to being an outstanding writer in your own right, you’re also a talented editor able to elevate the quality of content produced by other people. You move easily between strategic thinking and detailed execution, able to build and execute a compelling content strategy while at the same time relishing your role as the arbiter of best practice when it comes to grammar, clear messaging, tone and style.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role leads our content and brand team (two direct reports) which is responsible for providing specialist content marketing, content production, brand marketing, and brand strategy services to support achievement of FBNZ’s business objectives. The role is a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute an integrated content marketing and communications strategy that strengthens the FBNZ brand, demonstrates a strong point of view, generates high value leads, contributes to revenue growth through support for online and offline marketing campaigns, improves the customer experience, and builds engagement.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team and provide strategic input into the development of content required to support successful execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Conceive, create and publish a wide variety of original and engaging content (eBooks, white papers, video, blogs, articles, case studies, win stories, etc) that aligns with our brand story, supports our point of view, and educates and engages our target markets.
- Work closely with sales leaders to produce content specifically designed to assist the sales process, e.g. product brochures and sales presentations.
- Lead FBNZ’s approach around delivery of bid and proposal responses, working closely with the Content & Bid Specialist, sales leadership, our in-house graphic design team and the relevant marketing managers.
- Support the Head of Marketing to evolve the overarching brand strategy, brand story and positioning for FBNZ.

- Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years’ experience across content marketing, content development, and content strategy, ideally in a B2B environment.
