Make Your Mark:The Content Marketing Manager will architect and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy for BlackLine, leveraging AI-powered tools and data-driven insights. This role is responsible for driving thought leadership, brand awareness, and lead acquisition by creating and optimizing engaging content across all digital and print channels, including email and our blog. You will oversee the entire content lifecycle, from strategic planning and creation to distribution and performance analysis, ensuring our content resonates with our audience and achieves key business objectives.
You'll Get To: - Develop and document a long-range strategic content framework that anticipates audience needs and supports evolving business goals.
- Develop and manage overall content marketing and email marketing plans and strategies that support organizational goals from the top to the bottom of the marketing and sales funnel, including increasing thought leadership, brand awareness, lead acquisition, and effectiveness of lead nurturing.
- Develop and execute procedures and workflows for the planning, creation, execution, and ongoing optimization of emails and content, and for the distribution and amplification of content and other assets.
- Collaborate with designers, product marketers, sales professionals, internal and external influencers, and industry experts to conceive and develop content pieces and other assets that meet the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience. This role should bring a brand publisher mindset to the team, ensuring the creation of content that our audience is looking for and optimizing the path to conversion
- Project manage the creation of content and other assets including e-books, white papers, guides, web pages and copy, infographics, videos, articles, emails, and blogs, including through coordination with and management of in-house and outsourced content creators, writers, editors, designers, videographers, developers, etc.
- Ensure periodic and ongoing postings of blogs to attract site visitors through search, social media, and other channels.
- Proof-reading and editing to ensure consistency with BlackLine’s style and brand guidelines. Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement.
- Manage various email campaigns, including working with Campaign Managers and others on email strategy and with our in-house Creative team on design and effective messaging strategies to create compelling emails.
- Development and optimization of email nurturing streams, including working with Marketing Operations on segmentation based on audience demographics and buyer personas.
- Measure and optimize results, including through A/B and multivariate testing. Analyze campaign results and recommend improvements to achieve campaign objectives. Monitor delivery and unsubscribe rates and work to increase the productivity of our email sends.
- Monitor and report on content marketing metrics and show continuous improvement of the content strategy based on analytics.
- Develop and maintain an email, content, and editorial calendar.
- Stay abreast with latest developments in the email and content marketing fields. Ensure all email and content campaigns comply with current best practice.
- Leverage AI-powered tools for content ideation, personalization, SEO optimization, and performance analysis to enhance content effectiveness and efficiency.
What You'll Bring: - 5+ years of experience building successful B2B email, social, and content marketing campaigns
- Proven experience with AI-powered marketing tools (e.g., for content generation, personalization, or analytics) and a strong understanding of how to use them to achieve marketing goals.
- A demonstrated ability to design and execute a strategic content marketing plan globally tied to KPIs which directly influence pipeline
- Copy that converts prospects into leads and buyers
- Hands on experience managing all components of successful email campaigns
- Ability to edit all types of content including text, video, audio and images
- Experience with digital marketing including SEO, SEM, Social Media, and web analytics
- Thorough, nuanced understanding of statistics and metrics governing email and content marketing
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exhibit a high level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment and professionalism
- Be a self-starter with solid organizational and planning skills
- Must be competitive and focused on achieving goals
- Must be a team player and collaborate well across departments
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
- Familiar with working with multiple internal stakeholders and global teams

Salary Range: USD $115,000.00/Yr. - USD $144,000.00/Yr.
Pay Transparency Statement: Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
