The Herff Jones Accounting team is looking for an Channel Marketing Operations Coordinator to join our HJ Family.
Overview
Own Herff Jones enterprise social footprint for K-College students driving brand awareness, elevating achievement & recognition, and telling product stories through influencers and creators. You’ll plan, shoot, edit, publish, and analyze content that outperforms industry competition on reach and engagement. Collaboration with Herff Jones Creative Marketing on brand templates, responsibly use AI to accelerate quality output, and manage a Run The Business engagement for relevant brand-aligned content.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Planning
- Build a channel plan (TikTok, IG Reels, YT Shorts; X/Threads as needed) tailored to 6th–College students and K–5 parents; maintain a rolling 90-day calendar.
- Maintain a monthly scoreboard vs. Industry Leaders
- Define content pillars: Ring Reveals & age related trending lifestyle, Cap & Gown Moments, Championship Rings, Student Spotlights, How-to/Buying Guides, Behind-the-Scenes/Maker, plus Parent Pride (K–5) and Recognition-at-Home moments.
- Conduct semi-annual planning sessions with revenue-generating segments (College & K–12 Sales, Product, Creative, Champ/Cheer) to identify needs, prioritize promotions, and coordinate an annual editorial calendar + special events calendar.
- Publish a visible content calendar to Huddle that includes RTB cadence, hero content, key launch dates, and change-log updates.
- Beat competitor benchmarks: +20% engagement rate and +15% follower growth vs. category leaders.
- Event capture: Content from 12–15 graduations and championship moments (Sports, Band, Robotics, STEM, eSports) across College, High School, and Middle School.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Creative Marketing (brand compliance/equity)
- Communications (brand messaging)
- Digital Marketing & Salesforce Admin (automations/templates)
AI-Assisted Content Creation
- Responsibly use AI for ideation, hooks, scripts, shot lists, caption options, alt cutdowns/resizing, metadata tagging, and social listening summaries.
- Keep human-in-the-loop for tone, accuracy, brand fit; follow HJ guardrails on copyright, licensing, NIL/NCAA, FERPA/privacy, and music usage.
- Disclose AI use where required by platforms or partners.
Brand Templates with Creative Marketing
- Collaborate with Creative Marketing to build, publish, and update a template library (lower-thirds, supers, end cards, carousels, thumbnails, Stories/Reels frames) in approved tools (Canva Enterprise or alternative).
- Maintain style guides (fonts, color, motion, caption voice) and quick-turn approvals.
Run-the-Business (RTB) Management
- Scope and manage a contracted vendor/creator pod for routine, brand-aligned publishing (evergreen, parent pride posts for K–5, campus spotlights, product reminders, FAQs).
- Own enterprise content calendar and set clear deadlines and quality checks, approvals, and make sure all routine posts use the official brand templates.
- Monitor performance and optimize weekly; update direct report with peaks and valley’s.
- Keep hero content (events, launches, championship stories) in-house; route repeatable content to RTB.
Content Creation
- Plan, and capture content on both your smartphone and/or camera, edit short-form video/photo; deliver platform-native cuts and captions.
- Turn on-site moments into same-day highlights and next-day recaps
- Package product stories (rings, frames, cap & gown, letter jackets) via creator POVs, authentic student narratives, and parent-voiced K–5 recognition.
- 50+ creator assets/semester with measurable assisted revenue and tracked usage rights.
Influencers, Creators & Campus Ambassadors
- Recruit/manage micro-influencers, student creators, campus reps, and parent creators (K–5); brief on product, brand, and deliverables.
- Structure NIL-aware athlete collaborations; partner with Legal on disclosures and licensing.
- Track ROI and content quality; optimize briefs, incentives, and allowlisting.
Event & Field Coverage
- Travel to 12–15 priority events/year (graduations; championships across Sports, Band, Robotics, STEM, eSports).
- Run live coverage kits: shot lists, b-roll plans, interview prompts; deliver rapid highlight edits.
- Coordinate with Sales/ISPs, Creative, and school contacts for access, releases, and schedules.
Community, Publishing & Growth
- Daily publishing, comments/DMs, social care routing; escalate service issues appropriately.
- Launch UGC programs (giveaways, prompts, QR at events) to fuel both student and parent content pipelines.
- Coordinate paid boosts and creator allowlisting with Digital.
Measurement & KPI’s
- Own dashboards: growth, ER, CTR, traffic, assisted revenue, creator ROI, UGC volume/quality, RTB SLA adherence.
- A/B test hooks, formats, thumbnails, and posting cadences; present a monthly “what’s changing” readout.
- Deliver quarterly readouts to SLT and revenue-generating segments on performance, insights, and strategic goals for the next quarter.
Brand Compliance
- Enforce brand standards, accessibility, model releases (minors/adults), music/asset licensing, and platform disclosures.
- Maintain content rights tracking for creator/UGC/AI-assisted assets.
Qualifications
- 4–7+ years in social/content roles for Gen Z/Gen Alpha and parent audiences; portfolio of short-form that moved metrics.
- Proven event capture and rapid editing; strong storytelling eye.
- Experience with gen-AI and creator tools (ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Descript/CapCut, Premiere/Final Cut, Lightroom).
- Vendor/contractor management experience (briefs, SLAs, QA, budget).
- Analytics (native + GA/UTMs), social listening, and basic paid boost coordination.
- Travel-ready including evenings/weekends; valid driver’s license; able to lift/carry gear.
30/60/90 Plan
- 30 days: Audit channels & competitors; identify content pillars – core products,graduation moments, championships & team pride, student stories, how-to buying tips, behind-the-scenes, and K–5 parent pride. align on template roadmap; update RTB consultant; present AI strategy.
- 60 days:2 events covered; create dashboard in SLT cadence; AI-assisted fast track: 30–40% faster brief to publish speed while maintaining brand standards; MaaS Tier 1 – Tier 2 email campaign management while reporting program growth and strategic plans for the annual sales initiatives.
- 90 days:AI-assisted workflow running; fresh & consistent, weekly flow of usable UGC content from students and parents (with releases/permissions); routine, RTB postsdelivered/scheduled on time at least 95% of the time; monitor Engagement Rate is 20% higher than where we started.
