An internship with American Family Insurance is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid to late May and ends in August. During your internship, you'll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You'll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching. You will report to a Marketing Senior Manager. Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam Group office.
Compensation Min: $25 per hour
Compensation Max: $39 per hour
As a Digital Marketing intern, you will: - Develop an understanding of American Family Insurance's digital marketing strategies, brand standards, and business environment to support marketing and digital product initiatives. - Present campaign and product results, analytics, and recommendations to management and/or department personnel. - Assist with documentation and process improvement for digital products and marketing initiatives.
- Embrace and support new digital tools, platforms, and procedures. Generate creative ideas and actions in response to evolving digital trends, marketing opportunities, and product needs.
- Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns (including social media, email, website, and paid advertising) under the guidance of management.
- Support digital product management activities, including gathering user feedback, assisting with product feature prioritization, and participating in product testing and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and cross-functional teams to support day-to-day digital marketing and product development activities.
- Present campaign and product results, analytics, and recommendations to management and/or department personnel.
- Perform analytical work within digital marketing and product management, such as tracking campaign performance, analyzing website traffic, monitoring product usage, and reporting on key metrics.
Requirements
- Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship. Graduating August 2026 or later.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
- Major/program must align with internship role.
- Pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing, Social Media or Communications preferred
