*This salary range is based on an assessment of the local market and may vary depending on the successful candidate's experience. This range is based on base salary and does not include additional bonus program and total rewards eligibility.
Employment Location: Hybrid (candidates must be available to work from the Toronto, ON office 2x weekly in order to apply).
Three Ships Beauty is hiring! We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our growing Brand Marketing team. Reporting to our Senior Social Media & Influencer Manager, this role is responsible for managing Three Ships’ day-to-day social media presence and developing the brand culture by creating content that connects with our community across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and more!
The Social Media Specialist will bring our brand to life online, from concepting and posting engaging content, to growing our audience, to interacting with our audience in real time. You’ll play a key role in driving awareness, engagement, and education around our mission to redefine what natural skincare means.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Multi-Channel Social Content Strategy: Working with the Senior Social Media  & Influencer Manager, you’ll help develop and own the execution of our content strategy and content calendar across organic social channels (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and new & emerging channels). 
 
- Content Creation: Manage freelance UGC creator content and own end-to-end internal content creation (concept, filming/photography, editing) to support our monthly content calendar:- Short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, YouTube): Produce and share high-quality, short-form video content that meets marketing & brand-building objectives
- Static & Carousel posts: Design, write, and publish posts that tell the story of our brand, break down complex topics (e.g. lifestyle integration, brand mission, benefits, product usage, hero ingredients, sustainability initiatives, etc.) into easily digestible formats, highlight product capabilities, and more.
- Stories & Highlights: Drive real-time engagement and highlight key, timely information through Stories, and organize and maintain Highlights to serve as a valuable, evergreen content hub.
- Some travel and evening/weekend filming may be required to support campaign or event content capture.
 
- Audience Growth: Assist in the development and execute a strategy to increase visibility of Three Ships’ social channels, growing the brand’s reach and following while building a highly-engaged community.
 
- Community Engagement: Serve as the voice of Three Ships on social media, actively engaging with our audience, trending creator content, influencer partners, and responding to comments and direct messages. Attend special events such as community activations, influencer events, and product launches to capture and share real-time content.
 
- Sales Enablement: Working with our Growth Marketing team, position Three Ships’ social channels as a pipeline driver by embedding clear and compelling calls-to-action (CTAs) that guide prospects to relevant resources, product pages, etc. Optimize link-in-bio CTAs to maximize inbound interest.
 
- Performance Reporting: Track and analyze performance. Report out on insights regularly and use data to continually refine and optimize the content & posting strategy.
 
- Trend Monitoring: Continuously up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure Three Ships’ social media presence remains relevant and effective.
 
- Administrative & Other Duties: Assist with administrative tasks related to the social media portfolio (e.g., vendor coordination, budget tracking, content approvals) and take on additional ad-hoc projects as assigned to support the broader Marketing team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree from an accredited University or College in Marketing, Communications, PR or another related field.  
 
- 3+ years of proven experience managing an Instagram account for a B2C brand, with a portfolio of successful campaigns.
 
- Deep understanding of the Instagram & TikTok platforms, including Reels/Short-Form Video, Stories, Carousels, and the latest algorithm changes.
 
- Experience using other social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest and others is preferred.
 
- Exceptional content creation skills, with the ability to write engaging copy and create strong creative visuals (graphics, photos and/or videos).
 
- Comfortable being on camera & creating “self-featured” content is a requirement. 
 
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro).
 
- Experience in social media analytics and reporting.
 
- Creative, self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
 
- Proficient understanding of Gsuite & Microsoft Office products. 
 
- Previous beauty industry experience is considered an asset.
