Your Role at a Glance
We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can bridge the gap between our product development teams and the machinists, programmers, and manufacturing leaders who rely on Mastercam every day. This role is central to how we bring new releases to market, differentiate our solutions, and ensure our messaging resonates with the people actually making chips fly.
You'll own the go-to-market strategy for Mastercam products, working closely with product management, sales, and channel partners to translate technical capabilities into compelling stories about productivity, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
How You’ll Drive Success
Go-to-Market Strategy
- Develop and execute launch plans for major releases, add-ons, and new solutions.
- Create positioning and messaging that speaks to CNC programmers and shop owners in language that matters to them—cycle time, tool life, ease of use, ROI.
- Define and refine buyer personas, understanding the distinct needs of job shops, OEMs, and enterprise manufacturers.
Sales Enablement
- Equip our global sales team and reseller network with the tools they need: battle cards, presentations, demo scripts, objection handling guides.
- Train internal teams and channel partners on product positioning and competitive differentiation.
- Support key deals with custom content and strategic marketing guidance.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitive landscape and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
- Gather voice-of-customer feedback through user groups, events, and direct engagement.
- Partner with product management to inform roadmap priorities based on market needs.
Content & Campaigns
- Collaborate with content and digital marketing teams to develop product-focused campaigns, webinars, videos, and case studies.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints—from website to tradeshow booth to reseller communications.
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop direct reports, building a high-performing product marketing function.
- Establish processes and frameworks that scale across a global organization.
The Talents We’re Seeking
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience. MBA or an advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years in product marketing, preferably in B2B software or manufacturing technology.
- Experience marketing technical products to technical audiences, you can credibly talk shop with engineers and programmers.
- Strong technical foundation and ability to quickly understand product and technical concepts.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles, including market research, segmentation, positioning, and messaging.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution.
- Strong writing and presentation skills; you can distill complex capabilities into clear, benefit-driven messaging.
- Experience managing people and building team capabilities.
- Comfort working across time zones with global teams, Channel Partners, and customers.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot experience a plus).
- Solid project management skills.
Bonus Points
- Background in CAD/CAM, CNC machining, or manufacturing software.
- Experience with channel/reseller go-to-market models.
- Hands-on experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
