Position Overview
The Content Creator is responsible for developing and producing multi-format, brand-aligned content that supports Swish’s digital marketing and communication objectives. This role requires a blended skill set across writing, visual design, storytelling, editing, and hands-on content production across multiple digital channels.
You will create content that goes beyond traditional copywriting — producing short-form video, social media content, graphics, blog articles, product stories, email assets, and campaign visuals that help educate audiences, communicate value, and support measurable business outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who is equal parts writer, designer, videographer, and marketer, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What does the Content Creator do?
Content Production
- Produce multi-format, brand-aligned content including short-form video, social media posts, graphics, blog articles, product stories, email assets, and campaign visuals.
- Plan, film, and edit video content for use across web, social media, and digital campaigns.
- Develop content that supports audience education, product understanding, and informed decision-making.
- Ensure all content meets brand standards, accessibility expectations, and quality requirements.
- Maintain and organize digital assets to support efficient content production workflows.
Copywriting & Storytelling
- Write clear, concise, and audience-appropriate copy for digital platforms, including websites, blogs, product pages, email campaigns, and social media.
- Develop product and brand narratives that communicate value propositions and support business objectives.
- Maintain consistency in voice, tone, and messaging across all content formats and channels.
Creative Development
- Contribute to concept development for digital marketing initiatives and ongoing content programs.
- Recommend new content formats and approaches informed by platform trends, audience insights, and industry best practices.
- Translate project requirements into effective creative outputs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Digital Marketing Support
- Align content creation with digital strategies related to social media, SEO, email, and eCommerce activities.
- Optimize content based on performance metrics such as engagement, reach, click-through rate, and conversion results.
- Prepare and adapt assets for use across paid, owned, and earned digital channels.
Cross-Team Selling
- Collaborate with brand, product, retail (Clean-It® Centres), and eCommerce teams to support content needs for campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Present or explain content assets to internal teams to support understanding, alignment, and adoption.
- Support branch and sales teams by providing digital marketing assets that drive product visibility and engagement.
Other Duties
- Monitor social and industry trends relevant to Swish audiences and recommend content updates as needed.
- Maintain organized content documentation, templates, and asset libraries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What do you need?
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience creating digital content across multiple formats, including writing, video production, and graphic design.
- Demonstrated experience producing short-form social video, including planning, filming, and editing.
- Background in content creation for digital marketing, eCommerce, or social media environments.
- Experience working in fast-paced, multi-project environments with shifting priorities.
- Preferred: Experience in B2B, industrial, manufacturing, or facility solutions sectors.
- Preferred: Exposure to Magento, Klaviyo, SEO, or other digital tools.
Skills
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone to different channels.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign, or similar tools).
- Ability to plan and execute video production, including lighting, audio, and post-production.
- Understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and best practices for engagement.
- Skills in graphic design, layout, and basic visual communication principles.
- Ability to balance multiple deadlines and manage workflow in a high-demand environment.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to translate requirements into compelling content.
- Nice to have: Skills in photography, motion graphics, or animation.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with cleaning products, chemicals, sustainability, or janitorial equipment.
Education:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
- Additional training or certifications in video production, digital marketing, copywriting, or design software are considered an asset.
