How will you make an impact in this role?
As part of the New Customer Acquisition Team, the Senior Analyst, Performance Marketing (Paid Search) will play a critical role in driving profitable growth through the Paid Search/PPC channel. This role will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of search marketing campaigns across the American Express Consumer and Commercial portfolios, ensuring continued delivery of strong acquisition performance during the maternity leave period.
The ideal candidate is an analytical and proactive marketer with interest in performance marketing, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work. Key Responsibilities
- Paid Search Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of Paid Search campaigns across Google and Bing to deliver efficient acquisition at scale.Manage day-to-day operations of campaigns in collaboration with Enterprise Digital Teams and platform partners.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor performance and deliver actionable insights to enhance ROI and conversion performance. Identify and execute opportunities for bid strategy improvements, creative testing, and keyword expansion.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Product, Brand, Analytics, Legal, and Compliance) and external agencies to ensure Paid Search aligns with brand, compliance, and commercial objectives.
- Budget Management: Oversee Paid Search budget pacing and accuracy, ensuring spend aligns with targets and business priorities.
- Testing & Innovation: Maintain a strong test-and-learn roadmap for the channel, identifying new tactics, automation opportunities, and audience strategies to enhance performance.
- Reporting & Insights: Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports with key insights, trend analysis, and strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed of search engine updates, competitor strategies, and emerging trends to ensure Amex’s Paid Search program remains best-in-class.

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and experience translating performance data into actionable insights.
- Experience managing agency relationships and large marketing budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing Paid Search campaigns (Google Ads, SA360, or equivalent platforms) or other performance marketing channels (Paid Media, Social, Programmatic).
- Experience in financial services or B2B marketing.
- Familiarity with attribution, automation, and testing frameworks.
- Exposure to other digital performance channels (Social, Display, Programmatic).
