Market Analysis & Forecasting
- Monitor, research, and analyse the Australian market across key segments (Utility/Power Grid, Renewables, Construction, Oil & Gas, Telecom). Track trends, regulatory changes, competitor activities, and macroeconomic factors.
Competitor Intelligence
- Systematically gather data on competitor strategies, product offerings, pricing, key projects, and strengths/weaknesses. Maintain a dynamic competitor dashboard.
Project Pipeline Development
- Proactively identify and track major tender and project opportunities in target sectors using industry tools, government portals, and stakeholder networks.
Reporting & Insight Generation
- Synthesize data into clear, concise reports, presentations, and actionable recommendations for senior management and sales teams. Contribute to strategic planning, annual budgets, and product development discussions.
Customer & Stakeholder Insight
- Support Voice-of-Customer initiatives and analyse market segmentation to identify new opportunities and adjacencies.
Campaign management and digital marketing
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, content, events) for key product lines (e.g., Submarine Cables, Fire Performance Cables, Transmission Cables) to generate leads and build thought leadership.Create and manage high-value technical content, case studies, whitepapers, and sales collaterals. Optimise the company's LinkedIn presence and website content for the ANZ region.
Event and Brand Management
- Plan and coordinate Prysmian's participation in key industry trade shows, conferences, and technical seminars.Ensure consistent and powerful application of the Prysmian brand across all ANZ marketing materials and communications.
Skills, Competencies & Experience:
- 7–12 years in market intelligence, strategic marketing, or product/segment marketing; at least 3–5 years owning both insight-to-execution.
- Proven results aligning multi-BU marketing to a single regional strategy.
- Demonstrated impact on pipeline growth, win rate, and brand authority in B2B, preferably in energy/construction/telecom or adjacent infrastructure/industrial tech sectors.
- Experience advising/partnering with CEO/GM-level leaders and presenting to execs/boards.
- Built and operated governance & reporting models (OKRs, dashboards, QBRs).
- Managed vendors (research houses, agencies) and owned budgets with ROI accountability.Demonstrable experience in market research methodologies, data analysis, and financial modelling.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint essential); experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and CRM (Salesforce) is a significant advantage.
- Excellent understanding of the Australian industrial and energy market landscape.
- CRM & Automation: Salesforce or MS Dynamics; HubSpot/Marketo/Pardot (lead scoring, workflows).
- Analytics & BI: Power BI/Tableau; Google Analytics or equivalent for web metrics.
- Research/MI: Statista, IBISWorld, GlobalData/Frost & Sullivan, tender portals (AusTender), ACCC/AEMC/AEMO sources.
- Collaboration: SharePoint/Teams, Confluence; project tools (Jira/Asana/Trello).
- Content & Design: CMS (WordPress/Drupal), basic Canva/Adobe familiarity (coordinating with design).
Qualifications, licenses, certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
