About the role
This role is responsible for developing and driving the Marketing Strategy that incorporates technology, commercial objectives, and activities linked to the category portfolios. A strong leader who can leverage appropriate resources and develop relationships across Kerry organization. Their strong influencing skills will ensure that they can work effectively across multiple businesses, countries, functions and strategic customers.

Key responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and driving the EUM strategy across ANZ in alignment with Commercial, RD&A and Technology teams.
- Build and collate category insights to work with the Commercial team in proactively solving customer challenges.
- Work with the commercial team to co-create customer decks which tell a compelling story using insights and selling our solutions.
- Plan and develop immersion days for our customers which inspire and tell an exciting story about our capability and technology – help sell the strategic partnership for Kerry.
- Build predictive category analytics to share with the Commercial team and upskill them to share with customers.
- Responsible for driving profitable growth and financial performance within EUM and sub EUM.
- Work closely with Technology team to ensure sufficient and market relevant technology portfolios to deliver EUM strategy.
- Effectively support product introductions in partnership with the Commercial team and strategic growth initiatives into the market place with relevant marketing collateral.
- Act as a link to the other Regional Food & Beverage teams to leverage “lift & shift” opportunities relevant to the ANZ market.
- Work with the Sales Directors and RD&A team to enable execution of EUM strategy, by having thorough EUM market knowledge and linking this to customer and consumer needs.
- Responsible for linking consumer and customer insights to drive innovation and customer engagement in focus EUM’s.
- In conjunction with the ANZ VP & GM and their leadership team, support the development and delivery of strategic growth initiatives for the business.
- Own Kerry Marketing activities in ANZ e.g. positioning Kerry as the Taste and Nutrition leader, Advertising, Tradeshows, and etc.
Budgets
- Oversee the development, implementation and achievement of annual budgets. Monitor any variances and take corrective action as necessary.
- Prioritize manage and allocate budgets and resources for the defined customers/channel.
- Manage key decisions on total customer investment.
Leading and Developing Teams
- Accountable for leading and developing the Marketing team across ANZ.
- Identify the key changes required to build a high performing Marketing function that has a passion for winning new business, growing market share and consistently delivers on financial and business targets.
- Develop a culture of coaching and continuous feedback to build the capability of the Marketing team.
- Leverage Kerry’s tools and systems (e.g. MySuccess) to ensure all team members have clear performance and development goals, career plans and regular conversations to maintain focus and delivery.
- Accountability for ensuring optimal resource allocation and organisational design to deliver the strategic plan and build a culture of Marketing excellence across ANZ.
Qualifications and skills
- Preferably a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent.
- Preferably a minimum of 10 years in a Commercial, Sales and/or Business Development role within the Food & Beverage and/or Flavour Industry.
- Deep knowledge on Food / FMCG / Foodservice customer and consumer trends and insight.
- CPG background preferred and must understand retail.
- Strong consulting, collaboration and facilitation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management/facilitation skills with a demonstrated track record of operating effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Likes autonomy, is pro-active and results driven.
- Strong capability in applying quantitative and qualitative analysis methodologies, interpreting and presenting findings in a clear, concise manner, including the creation and use of tables, charts, and graphics to summarize results.
- Ability to understand big picture, macro issues whilst gaining insight into variables for effecting outcomes to support execution of initiatives.
- Ability to anticipate customer (internal and external) needs.
