- B2C: Indie and professional fiction authors purchasing AI-powered manuscript reports and tools
- B2B: Publishers, media companies, and strategic partners exploring AI-driven insights, licensing, and acquisition opportunities

The Role
We’re looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing to take ownership of our growth strategy across both B2C and B2B channels.
This is a key position on the executive team for someone who is able to:
- Own sales and marketing for the company
- Take a hands-on execution role
- Open doors at high levels of publishing and media
- Create an impressive AI growth story you can point to for the rest of your career You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team and have meaningful influence over the direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- B2B Sales & Partnerships (Primary Focus)
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to:
- Traditional publishers
- Editorial teams
- Media companies’ AI, tech and innovation teams
- Potential licensing and acquisition partners
- Build and manage a pipeline of B2B leads
- Shape enterprise-level messaging, decks, and positioning
- Lead early conversations, pilots, and relationship development
- Help structure partnership, licensing, and enterprise sales frameworks
B2C Marketing & Growth
- Oversee marketing strategy for products targeting authors and editors
- Own analytics and conversions of visitors into customers
- Improve funnels across email, webinars, social, and educational content
- Support launches of new tools, features, and reports
Leadership & Strategy
- Act as a strategic thought partner for the leadership team
- Create systems, documentation, and repeatable processes
- Identify how to scale the team with existing resources
