Join our award-winning marketing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy for RiverSource insurance and annuity products. We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced marketing leader to guide a team of marketing managers in developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and sales. Build marketing collateral, including sales literature, digital tools and campaigns. Write communications to engage financial advisors, clients and employees. Work with your team to do audience analysis and develop targeted marketing and communications that help financial advisors match RiverSource product solutions to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of two marketing managers, fostering growth in marketing expertise and business acumen.
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for new and existing products, focusing on positioning, messaging, naming, and communications planning.
Create compelling marketing materials including sales literature, digital tools, email campaigns, videos, interactive content, and social media assets.
Design and implement targeted marketing campaigns using audience segmentation and personalized messaging.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including Legal, Compliance, Sales, Program Management, and Business Intelligence to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Continuously evaluate and enhance marketing programs, tools, and processes for optimal performance.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and advisor/client needs to inform marketing decisions.
Manage multiple projects independently, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing or communications.
Proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging communications.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
Excellent problem-solving and planning capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Collaborative mindset with experience working across diverse teams and functions.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Series 6 and 26 licenses required, or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical skills and experience working with data to optimize marketing performance.
Background in financial services.
Prior experience leading teams or managing direct reports.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $98,100 - $112,800 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
