We’re looking for a proven Director to co-lead the day-to-day of Diamond’s fast-growing influencer marketing team. The Director, Influencer Marketing, will be a strategic force who will lead and oversee the end to end program cycle for all influencer programs coming through the agency – solving complex client problems through sound strategy all the way through to flawless delivery of influencer content that exceeds set KPIs and objectives.
The ideal candidate will be equal parts strategic, creative and client centric with a keen understanding of what makes great content – specifically great influencer content – managing and overseeing multiple stakeholders and teams (both internally and externally) to make that content come to life. This candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the intricate balance between creating content that is native to the influencer, integrating social/digital best practices, while properly conveying the brand message.
You’re up to speed on the latest social and influencer trends, technology, regulations and best practices and will champion them within the agency, and with clients, to ensure we produce high performing, compliant content. You have excellent presentation capabilities and know how to create compelling, strategic decks to sell in work. You instill confidence in clients and internal teams acting as strategic counsel on all things influencer marketing be it process, best practices and educating clients on the value of influencer marketing.
Most importantly, you have ample experience leading and managing a growing team, fostering collaboration and trust with your direct reports. You will report into the VP, Connections Strategy who oversees the team and are also able to work closely and collaborate with accounts, creative and production to drive best in class influencer programs.

Responsibilities:
- End to end management, oversight and accountability of all influencer projects that come into the agency inclusive of planning, influencer identification, creative production and reporting, setting the standard and quality of work from the team
- Motivate the team to deliver best in class work and lead influencer project plans when necessary inclusive of strategy, channel planning, creative briefs and client facing POVs as required
- Ensure the highest standards of influencer identification, vetting, negotiations, contracting, management, content reviews, monitoring and reporting are being implemented and follow internal processes
- Work with account leads to create detailed project scopes and estimates
- Inspire the team and stay up to date and apply influencer and social best practices, trends, opportunities and regulations to ongoing influencer work including decks, creative concepts, production planning, creative development, etc.
- Manage, lead and motivate a growing team including resourcing, mentorship, ongoing learning and development
- Optimize and champion agency’s influencer processes both within the influencer team and across the organization
- Champion the value of strategic, data driven, creative influencer marketing both internally and with clients to continue to foster new/continued business
- Demonstrate a thoughtful and inspiring approach to challenging clients and internal stakeholders to ask questions and constantly push for great work and new opportunities
- Build relationships with key client contacts to continue to maintain and generate new influencer business
- Collaboration across various departments at Diamond to ensure seamless execution of the influencer program.
- Work to identify both organic and proactive influencer new business with the support of internal accounts and the AVP, Digital Strategy.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in social, influencer or content marketing
- Proven track record of managing and executing influencer programs including strategic planning, influencer identification, outreach strategies, leading complex negotiations and contracting, content planning, collaborating with influencers, whitelisting
- Quantifiable success in creating best in class influencer strategies and content that met/exceeded clients objectives
- Digital paid media experience is considered an asset
- Creative and results-focused, with stellar communication, writing and presentation skills
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, management and organizational skills
- Motivated by a fast moving, collaborative work environment
- Ability to actively listen to ensure strong comprehension to successfully act on client asks
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment, and effectively manage and oversee multiple projects at the same time
- Innovative thinker with a finger on the pulse of what’s new and trending across social and influencer industries
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate a high performing team including mentorship including ongoing learning and development
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong and enthusiastic presenter, with the ability to craft concise, compelling and impactful presentations
- Proven ability to push the work to ensure it meets channel best practices as well as client objectives
