Overview:

Braille Institute is seeking a strategic and hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of our digital marketing initiatives that engage people experiencing vision loss and the broader community that supports them.

This role will oversee our digital channels, including website management, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, email marketing, paid media, and Customer Relationship Management and optimization—to drive awareness, engagement, and participation in Braille Institute’s free programs and services.

The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, with a passion for mission-driven marketing and a track record of managing cross-channel digital campaigns that achieve measurable results. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our digital infrastructure and online experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Strategy & Campaigns: Develop and implement integrated digital marketing strategies that support organizational goals across awareness, engagement, and conversions for current programs and new product launches.
Website Management: Oversee day-to-day website operations, content updates, and ongoing optimization for accessibility, and user experience (UX).
Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing: Lead organic and paid search strategies to increase visibility and reach. Manage Google Ads and other paid media campaigns, including keyword research, ad creation, and performance tracking.
Customer Relationship Management Strategy and Implementation:
Lead the strategy and implementation of a new Customer Relationship Marketing system in collaboration with Information Technology and Programs teams.
Define workflows, audience segmentation, and data structures to enable personalized, data-driven marketing and communication.
Develop and manage Customer Relationship Management-based email automation, reporting dashboards, and data integration with other marketing platforms.
Email Marketing Support: Collaborate with the broader marketing team on email campaigns that promote virtual service offerings and nurture engagement.
Social Media Advertising: Manage targeted social media ad campaigns to generate interest and drive traffic to virtual classes, webinars, and on-demand video resources.
Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics across all digital channels. Provide actionable insights and regular reports to guide strategic decisions.
Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with internal teams (Communications, Development, Programs, and Information Technology) and external agencies to ensure cohesive digital execution across platforms.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
5+ years of experience in digital marketing and paid digital marketing campaigns.
Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management platforms and marketing automation tools.
Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, YouTube Studio, and Google Analytics.
Excellent analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
Familiarity with accessibility standards (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Americans with Disabilities Acts compliance) is a plus.
Nonprofit experience or marketing for mission-driven organizations is a plus.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Los Angeles; position will be 4 days in office and 1 day remote.

Digital Campaign Development: Plan and execute paid digital campaigns across Google Ads, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms to promote Braille Institute’s virtual services.
Search Engine Optimization & Search Engine Marketing Strategy: Lead all Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing efforts to improve discoverability of our digital offerings, drive traffic to our website, and improve conversion rates. Manage keyword strategies and optimize performance.
Website Management: Maintain website content, manage the editorial calendar, and oversee ongoing optimization of website structure and functionality to enhance user experience and increase visibility of virtual programs and services.
Web and Content Optimization: Oversee website strategy, user experience improvements, and backlinking partnerships to increase visibility and usability for virtual service users.
Content Creation & Promotion: Collaborate on the development of high-impact digital content, including student testimonials, videos, service benefits, and product highlights, with the goal of engaging visitors and motivating them to take action.
Influencer & Partner Outreach: Identify and manage influencer and partnership opportunities with aligned organizations to expand audience reach and engagement.
Social Media Advertising: Manage targeted social media ad campaigns to generate interest and drive traffic to virtual classes, webinars, and on-demand video resources.
Email Marketing Support: Collaborate with the broader marketing team on email campaigns that promote virtual service offerings and nurture engagement.
Webinar and Online Registration Growth: Create marketing funnels that drive online sign-ups for webinars, classes, and other virtual events.
Data Analysis & Optimization: Use analytics tools to monitor digital performance, identify insights, optimize campaigns, and report on ROI and participation growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
5+ years of experience in digital marketing, including campaign strategy, Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing, paid advertising, and content development.
Strong command of digital tools including Google Ads, Google Grant, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, and WordPress or other content management systems (CMS).
Demonstrated success driving online conversions for educational programs, nonprofit services, or consumer engagement campaigns.
Excellent written, visual, and multimedia content development skills.
Experience working with influencers or partner organizations to amplify campaigns.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
Nonprofit experience or marketing for mission-driven organizations is a plus.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Southern California; position will be 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
