Marketing and Communications provide university-wide strategic marketing and communications advice and develop, manage and implement marketing and communications activities (including advertising) across all Griffith audiences including prospective and current students, staff, alumni, donors and corporate partners.
Job Description
We’re seeking a creative Senior Social Media Officer with the expertise to lead and manage compelling content that boosts Griffith University’s profile and drives engagement.
You’ll collaborate with senior leaders and academics to uncover stories that align with our strategy and resonate across social platforms.
Working closely with the Social Media Manager, you’ll deliver high-impact projects and advise on how to maximise social media’s potential.
- Create engaging content that elevates the University’s profile and celebrates research, student, alumni, and staff achievements.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver high-impact campaigns aligned with strategic priorities.
- Coordinate workflows to ensure efficient and effective content delivery.
- Coordinate content relating to the new Griffith CBD campus and promoting Griffith as the exclusive Australian Olympic Pathway University.
- Build capability by coaching, mentoring, and delivering social media training.
- Develop and execute strategies for multi-platform distribution.
What we can offer
- This is a fixed term (until the end of May 2027), full-time position primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
- Base Salary $101,068- $109,496 per annum plus 17% Superannuation.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in an area relating to journalism, communication or marketing and/or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience, education and training.
