Jr. Marketing Operations & Data Analyst
We’re looking for a data-driven, technically literate marketing analyst to help scale ShipperHQ’s marketing operations across SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and performance marketing. What You’ll Do:
The Junior Marketing Operations & Data Analyst will partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to improve visibility into marketing performance and enable better decision-making through data. You’ll maintain and enhance our marketing data infrastructure, build reports and dashboards, and surface actionable insights to drive pipeline growth and ROI. You’ll also support SEO, AEO, and paid media (ads) performance measurement and optimization, using AI tools where helpful to speed up analysis and automation while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
- Build, maintain, and automate dashboards tracking marketing KPIs, funnel performance, and campaign effectiveness.
- Analyze campaign data from multiple sources to provide insights that improve lead generation and conversion.
- Develop and maintain metrics frameworks that align marketing performance to revenue outcomes.
- Measure and report on SEO performance (traffic, rankings, conversions) and recommend improvements.
- Support AEO by tracking how our content and brand surface in AI-driven experiences and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Analyze paid media performance and provide insights that improve ROI and experimentation.
- Use AI tools pragmatically to draft queries, summarize datasets, and propose test ideas, validating outputs to avoid low-quality or incorrect “AI slop.”
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across tools to support reporting and segmentation.
- Partner with content teams to ensure campaigns are designed with SEO, AEO, and paid performance in mind.
- Monitor for generic or off-brand AI-generated outputs and correct them before
- they reach customers or stakeholders.
- Partner with Sales, Ops, and Product Marketing to ensure unified data reporting and performance insights.
- Present findings to stakeholders in clear, actionable ways - translating technical analysis into business recommendations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills - proficient in interpreting data and identifying trends.
- Experience (academic or professional) with data visualization tools.
- Working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot, preferred).
- Excellent communicator - able to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
- Self-starter with high attention to detail and a curiosity for problem-solving.
- Practical experience using AI tools to support work and the ability to write clear prompts and refine them to improve AI outputs.
- Awareness that AI can be wrong, generic, or off-brand (“AI slop”), and a habit of reviewing and validating AI-generated work.
- Exposure to SEO concepts and an interest in improving organic performance.
- Interest in how brands show up in AI search and answer engines (AEO) and willingness to learn in this area.
- Ideally, basic comfort “coding with AI” (e.g., using chat-based coding or tools like
- GitHub Copilot/Cursor to generate simple Python, JavaScript, or SQL scripts that support analysis and automation.
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of your day-to-day work (for analysis, prompts, and automation).
