Amsoil is currently seeking a Product Marketing Coordinator.
The Product Marketing Coordinator manages demanding product portfolio execution projects with some assistance and is developing a working knowledge of market planning. The Product Marketing Coordinator is developing experience building alignment, high functioning relationships and influence. The Product Marketing Coordinator coordinates the execution the category product portfolio plan and supports the development of creating the category product plan at large for both AMSOIL Commercial and Automotive products. The coordinator works cross functionally with Product Development, Marketing and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Product Marketing Manager and Category Team by organizing and refining inputs to the category product plans, including market, buyer, channel, equipment, brand, competitor.
- Develop Product Value Propositions
- Support the development of Product Portfolios by providing recommendations and input into decisions related to product life cycle, new products, product optimization and elimination.
- Distill the output of research analysis including data related to markets, buyers, products, pricing, inventory, GM, and sales into logical recommendations to support adjustments to the Commercial and Automotive portfolios, pricing strategy and product plans.
- Manage projects associated with implementing the product portfolio and category product plan at large, ensure projects meet stakeholder needs and are delivered on time, budget and on process.
- Gather and refine inputs and follow the stage gate and other internal processes needed to execute the product category portfolio, including presenting ideas and progress to leadership group and go-to-market teams.
- Gather and refine inputs needed to create new labels, and adjustments to existing labels, for AMOIL branded products.
- Provide product information that feeds into sales collateral, media, datasheets, and Lookup Guides. Ensure information is accurate and aligns with brand position and value propositions.
- Coordinate development and activation of marketing claims.
- Summarize market and product information and provide internal and external training.
- Provide project management of cross-functional teams, coordinate, and accomplish tasks, effectively run meetings, set agendas, capture & publish notes, and track project team tasks.
- Provide basic technical support for internal and external customers both on-site and in the field, answering product and market related questions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Legal to execute plans. Build alignment and high functioning relationships by gathering and providing feedback, engaging in constructive debate, and resolving conflict.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver claims that meet the demands of Marketing, Sales, Legal and Engineering
- Support providing product communication to a wide variety of audiences i.e., customers, senior management, internal groups, internal departments, events, and product training/promotion videos.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, product management, product development or related field
- Product Marketing Coordinator I– minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills to articulate clearly with various departments, customers and at events.
- Project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time sensitive projects simultaneously. Strong desire to lead projects. Being familiar with project management software is also an asset.
- Take ownership and follow through on assigned projects, which may require working extended hours to complete projects.
- Can work individually or on a team.
- High level of aptitude and interest in product management and marketing
- Strong analytical skills needed to create clear logical insights from diverse data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions to provide support and informal leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, environment, where outcomes maybe clear but the path is ambiguous.
- Continuously promote an innovative, learning culture.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, manager, customer (internal and external) and upper management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM
