Position Summary
The Social Media & Content Coordinator is responsible for shaping and elevating Brown & Co’s digital voice and visual identity across all social platforms. This role blends creativity, strategy, and execution – developing engaging photo, video, and graphic content that reflects the elegance and legacy of the Brown & Co brand. The ideal candidate is a storyteller with a strong sense of luxury aesthetics, a passion for creating meaningful connections with audiences, and the ability to translate brand values into compelling digital experiences. Working closely with marketing, sales, ad leadership teams, this individual will drive social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement to enhance brand awareness, increase engagement, and strengthen customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Capture original in-store photo and video content (daily stories, product features, behind-the-scenes, events, etc.)
- Develop engaging Instagram Stories, Reels, and posts that align with the Brown & Co. brand aesthetic and tone
- Design visually compelling graphics and animations for use across social platforms
- Collaborate with in-house team to create a consistent, elevated visual identity
Social Media Strategy
- Develop and execute a monthly social media content calendar with planned themes, visuals, and captions
- Ensure consistent posting schedule across all Brown & Co. accounts (with a primary focus on the main brand account)
- Build and maintain a strategic mix of content: brand storytelling, product highlights, designer spotlights, educational features, and lifestyle imagery
- Manage social media guidelines and ensure compliance with brand partner requirements and share-of-voice (SOV) expectations
Community Engagement & Brand Representation
- Actively manage and respond to direct messages, comments, and tags to maintain timely and professional communication with followers
- Monitor engagement metrics and provide insights or recommendations to enhance reach and performance
- Support Sara Beth by providing assets and coordination for personal social media features
Collaboration & Brand Alignment
- Work closely with the marketing, sales, and leadership teams to align social media strategy with overall company goals
- Coordinate with brand partners to ensure co-op and campaign materials meet both Brown & Co. and vendor guidelines
- Maintain an organized digital asset library for social use
Analytics & Reporting
- Track performance metrics (growth, engagement, impressions, reach) and present regular performance reports
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging tools to keep Brown & Co.’s content fresh and relevant
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (luxury, fashion, or retail experience preferred)
- Strong photography and video skills (mobile and/or DSLR)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple platforms, schedules, and brand guidelines
- Deep understanding of Instagram strategy, audience engagement, and trend forecasting
Bonus Skills
- Experience working with jewelry brands or high-end/luxury brands
- Knowledge of Shopify
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel between Brown & Co’s Roswell and Buckhead Village locations as needed.
- Availability to work retail hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as required.
