As a Principal Communication Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and completing marketing projects including direct and performance marketing campaigns. You will partner with internal stakeholders and collaborate with external agencies. You will actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities:

Manages the digital media (paid & organic) campaign strategy and delivery process for Diners Club International. Develops tactical briefs and executes campaigns including audience definitions, creative developments, test and control designs, budgeting, media targeting, analyses, reporting, compliance, optimizations, and insights. Manages key social channels: Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, YouTube, influencer(s), and new channel exploration
Partners with creative teams, franchise partners and agencies to implement new messaging and ad types.
Partners on delivery of social campaign strategy and social web content activation across our digital channels (social channels, web, hub, InfoNet), inclusive of SEO and best practice sharing. Ensures campaigns meet goals.
Develops campaigns that are consistent with strategy and objectives of the business.
Partners with legal and compliance to obtain approvals for the routing of ad copy and audience targeting.
Monitors controls to ensure campaigns are compliant.
Manages campaign deliverables, timelines, and resources.
Ensures campaigns meet goals.
Manages social response team and approved response content
Ability to access, learn and navigate relevant platforms: Social channel admin (Meta Suite, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), Sprout, AEM, Uberflip, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Lambda testing, and JIRA.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration and Management.
At least 5 years of experience in Developing and implementing integrated communication strategies to drive organizational change and achieve measurable results based on business objectives.
At least 5 years of experience in Partnering with and coaching senior executives on effective communications that support organization objectives
At least 5 years of experience in Managing communication channels to increase employee engagement in organizational goals, manage organizational change, and create feedback loops between leaders and subordinates

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communications, Marketing or Public Relations
At least 8 Years of experience in Developing and implementing integrated communication strategies to drive organizational change and achieve measurable results based on business objectives.
At least 5 years of experience in Partnering with and coaching senior executives on effective communications that support organization objectives.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Riverwoods, IL: $115,200 - $131,500 for Communications Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
