This position involves a variety of tasks, including supporting the NIP (National Indigenous Practice) and sales enablement product strategy and key messaging, leveraging data to determine marketing effectiveness, supporting sales & service and conducting customer research.
The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator (Term) will:
Research, write/edit and create new posts for social media accounts for NIP. Schedule and manage social media content daily.
Conduct real-time monitoring throughout the social media platforms and respond and engage with followers.
Prepare monthly reports of social media activities and engagement levels and export and analyze Google Analytics reports and metrics.
Prepare monthly e-blasts for contacts using team content management system,
Create well-drafted quarterly newsletters
Prepare annual marketing projects requiring strong design, vendor and project management skills.
Support for NIP conferences and events from booking to implementation, maintain calendar of events.
Research Indigenous organizations/associations events to determine participation along with maintaining calendar of events for all NIS firms.
Develop and refresh servicing collateral such as forms, summaries, presentations, and brochures.
Analyze data, market conditions, and competitor information to determine communications requirements.
Research new developments, trends, competitors, and alternate media streams.
Update online platforms and printed materials with employees’ most up to date information.
Coordinate the order of print and promotional materials through established vendors.
Search local events that are happening in the Indigenous Communities, communicate the details with organizers, and present them to managers for final decision.
Track and report website and social media metrics to management.
Acts as a resource to entire team of NIS.
Perform all types of administrative tasks associated with marketing, social media and communications.
To be successful as a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator (Term) with Eagle Bay Financial, you will need:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing and Communications.
- Completion or working towards a certificate in Marketing, Business, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of multiple facets of insurance is an asset.
- Experience identifying target audiences and devising effective digital campaigns.
- Experience with creating and implementing digital marketing strategies including keyword research, search engine marketing, website usability, search engine optimization, mobile marketing, social media, and content marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of AODA and privacy legislation and other legislative requirements.
- Strong analytical skills; experience with campaign success analysis.
- Strong knowledge of trends and best practices in marketing.
- Excellent communication skills including written, listening, and oral.
- Excellent organizational skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills reflecting adaptability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.
- Able to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy.

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - 60,000 per annum. Details of the total compensation package will be shared during the interview process.
