What does a Senior Performance Marketing Manager at Busuu do?
You’ll play a key role in driving Busuu’s growth through expert performance marketing management, process innovation, and team leadership. You’ll balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight, ensuring our marketing channels perform efficiently and scale effectively.
Platform Management
Oversee channel performance, ensuring KPIs and strategic objectives are achieved
Implement optimization strategies driven by performance data to continuously improve efficiency
Quality-assure campaign structures and implementations to ensure consistency and best practice
Process Development
Build and refine team-wide processes to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability
Develop frameworks for bidding, naming conventions, testing design, retargeting, audience strategy, and creative briefing
Champion operational excellence by adapting and evolving internal workflows
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Collaborate closely with internal teams (Creative, Insights & Analytics, CRM) and external partners to enhance workflow and campaign execution
Foster productive cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment and effective delivery
Testing & Innovation
Lead the ongoing development of our testing framework and ensure a robust test-and-learn approach
Design, document, and implement controlled experiments with clear methodology and measurement
Trial and evaluate emerging opportunities, concepts, and betas
Analyse test results to derive actionable insights and refine incrementality measurement
Team Management & Development
Support and coach the team through in-platform challenges and strategic decision-making
Proactively share knowledge, business context, and industry updates to strengthen team capability
Encourage growth, motivation, and collaboration across the performance marketing function
Help junior team members advance their skills and confidence in channel management
What we’re looking for
Deep expertise in Google Marketing Platform and mastery of at least one additional acquisition channel (ASA, Meta or TikTok)
Proven ability to design and execute controlled experiments within a marketing experimentation framework
Process-driven mindset with experience building scalable operational systems that enhance performance outcomes
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and manage complex workflows
Experience leading, inspiring, and developing marketing talent
