About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others make meaningful connections through social media? We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to empower and support local community teams across Australia in building authentic, engaging online presences. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on technical support and training to local social media managers, guiding them on best practices for using social media to connect with their audiences.
You’ll work closely with our Digital Campaigns, Engagement & Acquisition Manager to implement the local engagement of TSA’s organic social media strategy, connecting communities with our mission across Australia.
The role is a max term contract (until March 2027) and our office is in Blackburn, Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities: 
- Advise on tactics and organic strategies by tracking platform trends, algorithm updates, and competitor activity
- Report on campaign and monthly content performance to inform future planning
- Create compelling copy, assets, and content briefs that align with TSA’s tone and values
- Support crisis communications by executing responsive social media strategies
- Ensure all content complies with TSA policies, values, and relevant legislation
- Engage with our online community by monitoring and responding to comments and messages to build positive sentiment
About you
- Degree in Marketing/Communications (or related discipline)
- Demonstrated experience managing social media for a brand or organisation
- An understanding of marketing principles and social media creative best practice
- Clear understanding for asset types and placements across all owned organic social channels
- Strong writing, editing, and content planning skills
