What is the opportunity?
Do you love applying your strategic mindset to crafting stories and content that drives impact? We’re looking for an SEO Content Manager driven by a curiosity for data and insights and the ability to turn them into actionable content.
As SEO Content Manager you will help bring to life high-quality, search- optimized content across RBC channels that drive organic growth and engagement. Blending creativity with strategy, you’ll be responsible for writing and editing content that aligns with consumer needs and brand voice  ensuring all content supports our business goals.
This role is an opportunity for someone who’s just as comfortable writing new long-form articles as they are refining existing pages, analyzing competitors, and developing keyword strategies.
What you will do?
- Research, write, and edit high-quality, SEO and AI-optimized content (blog posts, video scripts, landing pages, web copy, social posts, etc.).
- Create content briefs, style guides, and tone-of-voice documentation to guide internal and external contributors.
- Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis, and competitive content audits to identify opportunities.
- Optimize on-page elements including meta titles, descriptions, headers, and internal linking.
- Ensure all content adheres to SEO and AI search best practices such as keyword placement, readability, and optimal character counts.
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, and SEO specialists to deliver cohesive, performance-driven content.
- Track and analyze content performance metrics and continuously refine strategies to improve rankings and engagement.
- Stay current with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and emerging content formats.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or SEO-focused content creation.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, on-page optimization, and keyword strategy.
- Proven ability to perform and apply keyword research and competitive analysis.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with attention to detail.
- Experience creating content briefs, style guides, and managing editorial consistency.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
- Ability to balance creativity with performance data and business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field preferred.
Nice to Have
- Financial services industry experience
- Writing portfolio or samples.
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Understanding of content lifecycle management and content governance.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and structured data markup.
