CardWorks Servicing, LLC provides end-to end operational servicing functions for credit cards, secured cards, and installment loans. We service consumer and small business loans across the credit spectrum and offers backup servicing and due diligence services to capital providers and trustees.
Merrick Bank is an FDIC-insured Utah Industrial Loan Bank. Merrick operates three main business lines: credit cards, recreational lending, and merchant services.
Carson Smithfield, LLC provides a variety of post-charge-off debt recovery services, including digital self-service, IVR, live agent, and external agency management.
About the Role:
Merrick Bank and CardWorks Servicing are seeking a strategic and results-driven Email Marketing Manager to lead customer engagement initiatives across the credit card lifecycle. As a key member of our Digital Marketing team, you will own the development, execution, and optimization of email and SMS campaigns, leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and other cutting-edge MarTech tools. This role is ideal for a data-driven marketer with deep expertise in email strategy and a passion for personalization and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of customer-facing email and SMS campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Cloud Pages, Automation Studio, and Mobile Messaging.
- Act as the SFMC subject matter expert, driving platform innovation and collaborating with Salesforce account teams to maximize value.
- Scale personalization efforts through integration with tools like Persado and Movable Ink, tailoring messaging to customer behavior and lifecycle stage.
- Oversee the consolidation of multiple SFMC instances into a unified platform, including business unit setup, IP warming, and asset migration.
- Drive continuous improvements through A/B testing frameworks, optimizing subject lines, creative content, and send-time strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop compelling, compliant email content that supports business objectives and enhances customer experience.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, deliverability) and share actionable insights with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain robust segmentation strategies and ensure list hygiene to support high deliverability and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including CAN-SPAM and other financial services requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in email marketing, with a strong track record in strategy, execution, and performance optimization.
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Mobile Messaging.
- Experience with Litmus or similar email testing and optimization platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and generate actionable insights.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization.
- Deep understanding of email deliverability best practices and anti-spam regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or fintech industries.
- Familiarity with financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with CRM integration and data management platforms.
- Expertise in advanced segmentation and personalization strategies.
- Experience with MarTech tools such as Persado, Movable Ink, and others.
