Position Summary
Why join our team? This role sits within the D2C Sales & Marketing team, responsible for driving growth across Samsung Europe’s D2C business. The team’s vision is to accelerate D2C performance through world-class execution across Search, Paid Social and Programmatic, while supporting major flagship launches, promotional peaks and innovation pilots across EU15. You will join a highly collaborative team working closely with EO Marketing, HQ, EU16 subsidiaries and agency partners (including Starcom). The team is structured around channel ownership and cross-functional D2C support, with a focus on elevating performance standards, innovation adoption and delivering measurable business impact. You’ll be involved in shaping strategy, supporting local markets, coordinating Europe-wide pilots, and driving forward the next phase of Samsung’s D2C growth journey.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
As the D2C Performance Marketing Lead, you will own and accelerate Samsung Europe’s performance marketing across Search, Paid Social and Programmatic. You will define strategy, elevate execution standards and deliver measurable D2C growth across acquisition, cross-sell and retention.
- Lead the development of European-level performance marketing strategies, toolkits and best practices.
- Support EU15 subsidiaries through insights, operational guidance and optimisation frameworks.
- Design and coordinate pilot initiatives and always-on tactics across acquisition, cross-sell and retention.
- Champion the use of Samsung MarTech, leveraging 1P/2P/3P data and emerging data-driven approaches.
- Drive improvements across CPL, CAC, ROAS, CVR and overall funnel efficiency.
- Champion innovation, test & learn programmes and data-driven approaches to scale growth.
- Communicate clearly and consistently, aligning expectations and simplifying technical/data-led topics for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with wider Digital, CRM, Brand and D2C teams to support major cross-channel initiatives.
- Manage relationships with media agencies, tech vendors and mar-tech partners.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- 6–8+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience across Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic and Social Commerce.
- Deep expertise in Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max).
- Strong understanding of the global ad-tech landscape including DMP/CDP and Google ecosystems.
- Ability to drive customer acquisition and retention strategies using business and customer data.
- Experience in eCommerce and awareness of innovations and trends influencing lead-gen and user acquisition.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify data and present insights to stakeholders.
- Experience managing agencies, tech vendors and mar-tech partners.
- Excellent account and project management skills paired with a strategic problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to anticipate issues and be proactive in providing solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment across multiple stakeholders and markets.
- Strong communicator able to translate technical detail into simple recommendations.
- Experience leading cross-market projects or team initiatives.
- Experience working in a European/Global function with country-level collaborators.
- Passion for technology and strong understanding of the sector.
