Internship Description Circle K seeks a qualified intern to join our Marketing team in Arizona. As a Social Media Intern, you will support a division express car washes and various functional departments to create the most effective and supportive communication channels. In your work, you will regularly interact and coordinate efforts with several different parts of the organization, including Marketing, Operational Excellence, Operations, and HR. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing and communication in the retail industry. Hours per week will be around 10-15 hours and the internship is hybrid.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Manage organic social media marketing - grow followers, increase reach, and improve engagement on our platforms.
- Proficient knowledge of major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Basic knowledge of social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including grammar and copywriting).
- Creative mindset with a passion for digital marketing/social media marketing/content creation.
- Familiarity with design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
- Previous internship or experience in social media or digital marketing is a plus, but not required.
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to travel around PHX Valley as needed.
- Must be able to travel into the Tempe Office for occasional meetings.
