Position Overview:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for planning, creating, and managing content across Florida Credit Union’s social media channels. This role plays a key part in increasing brand awareness, engagement, and community involvement through compelling storytelling, photography, and video production. In addition to social media content creation, this position will support the marketing departments other initiatives such as special events and capturing multimedia content.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and publish engaging social media content—including written posts, photos, graphics, and short-form videos—across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Edit and produce short-form video content that aligns with FCU’s brand voice, messaging, and marketing goals.
- Create on-brand social graphics using Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate social media campaigns, promotions, and member engagement initiatives, and support creative project execution.
- Assist with planning and managing social media giveaways and raffles, ensuring compliance and positive member participation.
- Support FCU-sponsored events through on-site and off-site coverage and create related social content.
- Monitor and interact with social media audiences, and assist with managing Google reviews to maintain a positive online reputation.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience managing social media and creating multimedia content for a brand, business, or organizations.
- Experience in video production, photography, and social media content creation.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar), and basic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
- A current driver’s license
