Overall Job Summary
The Digital Copywriter will create compelling content for our digital platform. This role requires a strong understanding of brand messaging, SEO, and content strategy. The position will work cross-functionally with the marketing and product development teams to develop a consistent brand voice and messaging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Develop informative and engaging copy for e-commerce listings, including product titles, bullet points, descriptions, and branded content.
- Create unique product descriptions optimized with keywords to enhance search engine visibility.
- Rigorously proofread all copy to ensure accuracy, grammatical correctness, and spelling integrity.
- Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams to brainstorm and develop content.
- Conduct thorough research on product categories and top competitors to identify best practices and opportunities for our listings to stand out.
- Collaborate with vendors and brands to edit and modify copy according to their specific guidelines and content expectations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer technology, organizational skills, and time management to meet deadlines effectively.
- Partner with marketing, operations, and customer experience teams to improve copy, communication, and content development.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years’ experience in agency or coporate copywriting role
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, English, Journalism, advertising, professional writing, or other related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: None
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Project management platform experience preffered (i.e. Workfront)
- Proven experience as a Product Copywriter, Copywriter, or similar role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Strong understanding of online marketing campaigns and SEO principles.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
