Freddie’s Flowers was founded by Freddie Garland in October 2014 with one ambition: to change people’s relationship with flowers. We believe flowers aren’t only for grand occasions, but they make every day special, inspiring creativity and sparking joy.
Our starting point was our direct-to-consumer subscription model, helping us grow a loyal UK following. We launched in Germany in 2020, and then in 2021 we secured significant backing from The Craftory, a like-minded purpose-led global investment house, helping us expand, develop and grow. 2023 saw us start our gifting service – bringing the best of Freddie’s Flowers to everyone who needs it (even last minute!).
From the seed of an idea we continue to flourish; we’re now a B Corp organisation. And our founding mission remains unchanged – to change the world of flowers, and to change the world with flowers.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a creative-obsessed, data-driven performance marketer who can build, optimise, and scale paid social ad campaigns (with a focus on Meta) that drive predictable subscription growth for Freddie’s Flowers.
This is a strategic creative + performance hybrid role - someone who understands how to turn ideas, insight, customer emotion, and data into high-converting ads that scale profitably.
With support from our senior performance marketing exec and in-house video editor/creative team, you’ll own our full creative and performance ecosystem across Paid Media (Meta, TikTok, YouTube & more) from concepting to scripting to rigorous testing - and be accountable for the results.
If you know how to pair ruthless testing with emotionally resonant creative that makes people fall in love with flowers, keep reading.
Responsibilities:
- Budget, Efficiency & Growth - Manage CPA targets while scaling spend. Build forecasting models and growth scenarios based on creative output and performance trends.
- Strategic Creative Production & Ideation - Develop and own a consistent pipeline of weekly performance creatives, including delivery and ideation of weekly new concepts and iterations of best performers.
- Creator & Production Management - Coordinate paid social shoots, external creators (e.g. via Twirl/Influencer Team) and in-house video editor/creative design with crystal-clear briefs and data-backed scripts. Maintain a smooth and cost effective production workflow with predictable output and high creative quality.
- Performance Scaling - Run structured creative tests, scale winning ads, identify fatigue early, and document patterns that drive long-term performance.
- Analysis & Optimisation - Own daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. Turn insights into creative strategy. Continuously refine formats, hooks, messages, and angles.
- Paid Social Team Leadership - You will directly manage a Senior Performance Marketing Executive who will support you operationally and directly manage campaigns, pushing them on best practice, scaling techniques and creative testing.
- Paid Social Conversion Rate Optimisation - Be responsible for pushing the boundaries of our website, working with your direct report and product team to tailor and optimise pages to ad content and across core pages of the website.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience scaling Meta spend through delivering high performing video and static ads
- You can write high-converting scripts using AIDA, PAS, and other direct-response frameworks
- You understand the logical flow of selling - how to build attention, interest, desire and action in a short-form video
- You build systematic workflows e.g. 5 hooks x 3 lengths x 2 formats = 30 test variations
- You have created or scripted over 50 video ads
- You analyse every metric (CTR, CPM, CPC, AOV) and know exactly why ads win or fail
- Option to buy extra holiday days
- Discounted flowers for friends/family
- WFH (where applicable)
- Learning and Development Support
- Cycle to work scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Discounted gym membership
- Cash plan with Medicash
- Health and wellbeing sessions with The Mind Clinic
- Team socials and events
- Bi-Weekly lunch
- And Flowers!
