- The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.
We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.
Your new team
This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. Your team will be at the forefront of the path to purchase creating disruptive activations with key flagship brands in Wholesale and Impulse customers across the UK, driving consumer footfall, increasing feature space and sales in-store.
Your unique contribution
Your main areas of responsibility will be split across supporting customers and being a key point of contact between 1 or more brand teams and the customer marketing team in a Brand Champion role.
- Responsible for creating, selling, agreeing and executing all customer marketing campaigns in the impulse and wholesale channel, including Costco, Coop, Nisa and Spar
- Deliver customer activation plans and execute activations as part of a bespoke Impulse/wholesale activation calendar.
- Responsible for the managing the McCurrach field sales activations and relationship.
- Effectively manage budget within your customer set, spending on the most likely sources of ROS driving activity.
- Responsibility for customer marketing budget for your dedicated brand including monthly reconciliation of A&P spend.
- Evaluate customer marketing activity to identify key learnings and which can be acted upon to improve activation and ROI
- Build strong customer relationships supporting the commercial team at customer meetings and brand days to deliver compelling activation.
- Managing Trade Media, Trade Press and Trade shows supporting commercial with key assets and artwork and working with PR to manage the execution of adverts.
- Understand key Off-Trade priorities and work towards achieving the most relevant goals to your customers.
- Develop a deep understanding of individual customers to be able to support their needs and dovetail PRUK priorities.
- Pro-actively make recommendations around process improvement in any possible area of team operation.
- Manage POS supplier relationship
- Effectively negotiate pricing and delivery of POS for any key campaigns.
- Be prepared to take on ad-hoc tasks with ambiguity in short timeframes.
- Be prepared to support other team members in different channels depending on the availability of resources, urgency and priority of tasks across the whole department.
- Provide a clear overview of your customer needs and investment asks as part of yearly budget planning cycles.
- Matrix lead within the team – managing and uploading all team data into extract
- Responsible for all VAP (gift-box) submissions, management and invoicing
- Brand Champion role – effectively manage communication and brand updates between brand teams, the customer marketing team and commercial contacts.
- As part of a Brand Champion role – identify retailer wide activation opportunities and manage these if required creating efficiencies within the team.
- As part of a Brand Champion role – collaborate with sales and brand teams to create effective Sales Cycle Plans and Brand Plans for subsequent calendar periods.
Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you’ll work with brand, sales, performance marketing, category management and the operations team.
Externally, your contacts will be a range of customers from within the impulse and wholesale channel, including Costco, Coop, Nisa and Spar, and occasional third-party suppliers as required.
