About the role
In this newly created role, the Marketing Director will lead our game marketing function, overseeing two Marketing Managers and a Storefronts Manager, while driving the overall marketing strategy for our expanding catalog. This person will balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach by directly overseeing a select portfolio of games.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can scale marketing processes, coach high-performing teams, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure campaigns achieve measurable results. This is a fully remote position within the United States, reporting to the Director of Growth.
What you'll do
Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and mentor two marketing managers, providing clear guidance, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
- Build scalable marketing processes and playbooks to efficiently manage a 200+ game portfolio.
- Foster a collaborative, creative, and data-driven culture within the marketing team.
Strategy & Execution
- Define and refine the marketing vision and strategy for our catalog, ensuring campaigns are impactful, measurable, and aligned with company goals.
- Oversee campaign planning, budgeting, and execution across verticals: paid media, influencer/creator marketing, PR, events, and community.
- Directly manage a small portfolio of priority titles, leading campaign strategy from pre-launch through post-release.
- Align marketing priorities with business development initiatives and partnership opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Developer Operations (DevOps), Product, and Creative teams to ensure seamless launch planning and live-service support.
- Serve as senior marketing liaison to external developers, ensuring campaigns support their creative vision and commercial success.
Analytics & Reporting
- Own marketing performance reporting, including ROI, ROAS, conversion, engagement, and retention.
- Use data insights to continuously refine campaign strategies and inform resource allocation.
- Present campaign results, recommendations, and forecasts to leadership.
Who you are
- 7+ years of marketing / product management experience, ideally in video games, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record managing multi-channel campaigns across Steam, console, and/or mobile.
- Strong team leadership and mentoring skills, with experience scaling marketing operations.
- Solid understanding of paid media, influencer/creator marketing, PR, event marketing, and community strategies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee a high volume of simultaneous campaigns.
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in interpreting marketing analytics and applying insights.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across BizDev, Product, Creative, and DevOps.
- Passion for indie games and supporting small or solo developers.
