JOB TITLE: Digital Marketing and Social Media Intern
DEPARTMENT: Business Development

REPORTS TO: Heads of Business Development & Marketing, Media and Brand Coordinator
SCHEDULE/HOURS: Flexible with opportunity to work up to 10-15 hours/week

Based in Midtown Manhattan, Herrick, Feinstein LLP is an elite law firm that will expose you to a variety of interesting industries, clients and areas of the law – including real estate, litigation, employment, sports and corporate law.
This unique internship opportunity will provide you with a deep dive into the firm’s business development and marketing department, as well as exposure to different business units within the firm. Under the mentorship of the Heads of Business Development and the Marketing, Media and Brand Coordinator, you can expect to gain valuable insight on the role of business development and marketing in a busy and diversified law firm. You can also expect to gain valuable experience and have many opportunities to make meaningful contributions in a collegial atmosphere that recognizes hard work.
This in-person internship starts in January 2026 and will continue through the end of summer (with an opportunity to extend through year-end).
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Play an active role in growing Herrick’s presence, and the presence of its individual lawyers on major social media platforms, websites and other digital outlets.
- Help transform articles, legal alerts, events, videos and other firm content into posts and campaigns that resonate with key audiences.
- Assist in designing visual materials for social media, presentations, pitches and proposals.
- Aid in editing and publishing the firm podcast.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Entering your junior year in an undergraduate college or university in New York City.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must have the ability to communicate with people of all levels at the Firm.
- Understand the fundamentals of corporate communications and digital marketing.
- Comfortable dealing with sophisticated business-focused content.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop are preferred
- Experience with video and audio editing preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn various job functions and be flexible.
