Head of Marketing (Part-Time / Fractional, 2–3 days per week)
Location: Hybrid/Remote (UK-based, no mandated office days)
Salary: £60,000 FTE (pro-rata)
Are you a strategic marketing leader who loves shaping brands, building audiences and driving results? Are you ready for a role that gives you the flexibility and freedom to do your best work?
At Newton Media, you’ll lead the marketing function for a growing B2B events and publishing business with big ambitions. You’ll set the strategy, guide a talented team, and make a tangible impact on how our brands grow and connect with their audiences.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic, commercially minded marketer who loves combining creativity with data-driven results and wants a role with impact, flexibility, and variety.
The Role
As our Head of Marketing, you’ll take ownership of Newton Media’s marketing strategy across all brands, publications, and events. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll define the marketing vision, lead a talented team, and ensure every initiative supports our wider business goals.
You’ll work closely with editorial, events, and commercial leaders to deliver integrated campaigns that grow audiences, boost subscriptions, increase event participation, and strengthen our presence in the B2B media landscape.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and deliver a clear, long-term marketing strategy across events, publications, and digital platforms.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing marketing team, setting goals and driving innovation.
- Oversee multi-channel campaigns to increase subscriptions, delegate acquisition, and sponsorship revenue.
- Use CRM, automation, and analytics tools to optimise performance and track ROI.
- Strengthen Newton Media’s brand positioning and market visibility.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, cross-promotions, and audience growth.
- Act as a senior marketing advisor, ensuring marketing is integrated across all business areas.
What you'll bring
You’re experienced at senior level in B2B media, publishing, or events marketing and confident leading both strategy and execution. You know how to build brands, drive audience growth, and turn insights into action.
You’ll also have:
- A strong track record in developing and delivering marketing strategies that fuel business growth.
- Expertise in digital marketing, campaign optimisation, and analytics.
- Experience leading delegate and subscription marketing.
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills - you inspire others and get things done.
- A commercial mindset, always focused on results and ROI.
(Bonus points if you’ve used ConstantContact, HubSpot, or Marketo, or worked in international B2B markets.)
What's In It For You
You’ll join a team that values creativity, autonomy, and results; not rigid office hours. We trust you to deliver, and we give you the space to do it.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Flexibility: Work 2–3 days per week, hybrid, with no mandated office days.
- Impact: Shape strategy and lead marketing across a diverse portfolio of brands and products.
- Freedom to innovate: Bring fresh ideas, test new tools, and lead transformation.
- Supportive culture: Work with experienced, collaborative colleagues who care about what they do.
