Position Description
The Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the execution of digital marketing strategies to enhance brand presence, customer engagement, and online performance for OX Tools AU. This role plays a pivotal part in developing, implementing, and optimising campaigns across digital channels to support the company’s commercial objectives and sales growth. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Social Media Manager ensures all digital initiatives are aligned with the broader marketing strategy and are delivered effectively, on time, and to a high standard. The following outlines the key purposes of the position:
Key Responsibilities
1. Paid Advertising
- Create and manage social media ad campaigns within Facebook Business Manager
- Drive Tuff Club member acquisition through Facebook Advertising
- Promote trending content via paid social ads
2. Social Media Management
- Create marketing and social media campaigns within a set budget and schedule
- Engage with and respond to comments, messages, and reviews on social platforms
- Increase brand presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
3. Influencer Management
- Identify and build relationships with relevant industry influencers to amplify brand awareness and reach
- Coordinate influencer collaborations, including product sampling, content briefs, and campaign timelines
- Monitor influencer content to ensure brand messaging, tone, and visual standards are met
- Track performance of influencer campaigns and provide insights on reach, engagement, and ROI
4. Content Management (Video & Image)
- Manage the coordination of Video and Photo Editing with external agencies
- Coordinate with external content creation agencies to plan and execute shoots
- Coordinate with tradies to distribute samples and plan shoots
5. End-User Database Management (Tuff Club)
- Manage the engagement with the OX Tuff Club through targeted content and communication
- Coordinate sample distribution for jobsite testing with Tuff Club members
Skills/Experience
- A qualification & evidence of studies in some area of marketing including communication or digital marketing
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and other social media advertising platforms.
- Experience in graphics, video editing, social media copywriting, social media analytics, social media strategy, ability to present social reports, reading social trends, reporting on competitor activity, and refining a social strategy
- Experience using the Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Great organisational and time management skills.
- Design and creative skills.
- Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools.
- Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Team player with will to be flexible and desire to collaborate.
- SEO experience and knowledge is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Confident communicator for calls, meetings, and negotiations.
- Skilled at managing influencer relationships with professionalism.
