Senior Manager, Global Social Media & Digital Consumer Engagement – Residential Fire (P5)
Kidde is seeking an experienced, passionate and creative Senior Manager for its Residential Fire business. This role will be responsible for leading our organic social media strategy and digital community engagement strategy across social media, ratings & reviews, emails and influencers as we work towards strengthening our brand image and reputation around the world. Additionally, the role will help define and optimize our integrated digital consumer engagement efforts to deliver best in class experience for our customers. The goal is to elevate our online presence, strengthen our consumer engagement, and optimize our ongoing efforts. The Global Social Media & Digital Consumer Engagement Senior Manager will lead agency teams focused on various areas including social media, community management, ratings & reviews and email marketing.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for optimizing social media and digital consumer engagement in a way that effectively connects with people, turning fans into customers and customers into advocates.
This leader reports to the Communications Senior Director and will work collaboratively with the cross functional teams within the Residential Fire business including Kidde and Badger brands, as well as Kidde Global Solutions and with agencies that support paid, owned and earned media.
This position can be located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, the Research Triangle area in North Carolina or work remotely in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing and leading global organic social media strategy that connects to larger marketing and business goals (across multiple channels)
- Lead team in driving strategy and efficient day-to-day management of North America (NA) social media channels and community management
- Manage and oversee the creation and approval process of thumb-stopping content and consistently optimize
- Own NA conversation calendar for social media channels and email marketing working with cross functional partners on messaging and themes.
- Lead implementation and optimization of our influencer strategy in collaboration with PR
- Lead optimization of overall digital consumer engagements integrating social media, ratings & reviews and email marketing in collaboration with our multi-functional teams
- Manage Ratings & Reviews strategy and approach to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our consumers
- Lead tracking, monitoring and reporting across areas of responsibility
Job Description
- Lead and optimize social media strategy and plans in collaboration with the agency & internal teams
- Work with European teams to ensure global strategy is relevant and effective in the region.
- Refine and manage ratings and reviews strategy and approach including optimization of response, tracking, and reporting to ensure timely engagement and consistent monitoring of consumer feedback
- Update influencer strategies with PR and manage approach and activations
- Proactively explores and develops test & learn opportunities to continually optimize campaigns and improve KPIs
- Update critical KPIs that support our business strategies across social media, influencers, ratings & reviews and emails.
- Overall listening, monitoring and tracking of channels, social campaigns & always on efforts
- Engage with consumers, customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media channels; ensure a positive interaction and experience
- Collaborates closely with Paid Media & Digital Marketing team to continue building the brand’s reputation through optimization of owned/earned/paid media
- Manages and optimizes budgets across social media, influencer, email and ratings & reviews
- Leverages social media methodologies and tools required to deliver efficient campaigns (e.g., Sprout Social)
- Stays current with new advances in social media/digital consumer engagement, the competitive landscape, and vendor capabilities; leverage that knowledge to influence current & future business plans and strategies; drive innovation, thought leadership, and best practice sharing throughout the organization.
- Ability to identify and elevate any issues
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of experience using social media to support a brand or company
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of social media strategies, trends and KPIs
- Strong leadership skills with ability to guide a team towards achieving goals by effectively communicating a clear vision, making sound decisions under pressure, fostering collaboration, empowering individuals, and demonstrating integrity, adaptability, and resilience in the face of challenges.
- Experience developing and implementing well integrated social media strategies in support of paid, owned and earned media efforts
- Experience leading community engagement efforts to delight consumers and customers
- Effective strategic thinking skills to manage difficult and complex problems
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills that can flex to fit any platform, media, character count or audience.
- Organizational skills including strategic planning, time management, attention to detail
- Analytical skills that help evaluate data to help us stay ahead
- People skills that drive engagement and advocacy
- B2C brand experience from an agency or in-house corporate or brand team
- Experience with social media tools like Sprout Social and knowledge of paid social media, SEO & web site traffic metrics
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok and social media best practices
- Experience working with Ratings & Reviews is a plus
- Agility and an eye for uncovering opportunities
- A desire to continuously learn and share knowledge across the enterprise
