Job Summary: Freedom Solar is looking for an analytical Marketing Manager to join the team in Austin, Texas to unlock growth opportunities for selling solar, HVAC, generators, and home batteries to Texas homeowners. While reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for owning the lead generation accountability, managing our digital advertising agency, and testing other advertising channel experiments.

Job Duties:- Strategize, plan, and execute demand generation programs to deliver a consistent growing pipeline of quality leads.
- Generates residential solar demand through both digital channels, including Google search, PPC, paid social, CTV, and newer alternative platforms like Reddit. Manage the relationship with a digital advertising agency who runs our paid search & paid social campaigns.
- Run experiments with offline channels to determine if cost-effective lead generation is viable. Channels could include direct mail, billboards, and doorhangers.
- Manage relationships with other agency partners to increase lead volume while maintaining or reducing customer acquisition cost.
- Own lead volume targets, and report on performance and forecasts on a weekly basis to upper management.
- Generate solar demand by working with the brand marketing team to develop creative campaigns and ad content, leveraging competitor and channel insights on what is resonating with consumers today. Partner with the brand team to ensure marketing funnel consistency through email and SMS communications that new leads receive.
- Partner with the Sales Team Lead Purchasing Manager to coordinate audience focuses (geo, home type, etc) and to gather feedback on how sales team is closing each lead type.
- Implement website changes where needed to optimize the E-Commerce conversion funnel.
- Recommend, test, optimize, and scale new lead generation opportunities or external partners.
- Manage a Demand Gen marketing budget.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Computer Science, or equivalent Business degree.
- 6+ years of relevant experience required.
- Must have B2C marketing experience with direct response/lead generation and budget management.
- Bonus points if experience in the home services industry or E-Commerce.
- Must be skilled in analyzing quantitative data to determine a program’s effectiveness, ROI, and forecasting.
Knowledge & Skills:- Familiarity with HubSpot and Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with Meta and Google advertising platforms.
- Team collaboration and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Skilled in Microsoft or Google Suites (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
