About the role
The Sr. Marketing Operations Specialist manages the build strategy of marketing campaigns, from journey building and testing to execution. This role requires close collaboration with sales to align campaign performance and inform future strategies. They will translate marketing goals into scalable marketing automation (Salesforce Account Engagement) builds, maintain marketing automation-CRM sync health, optimize email deliverability and scoring models, and partner closely with demand gen, content, and sales to improve conversion and ROI. They will help lead and coach the operations team to continue building skillsets and optimizing through continued learning opportunities. Additionally, their analytical skills are crucial for defining success metrics and optimizing marketing efforts based on data-driven insights.
What you'll do
Marketing Automation:
oOversee the execution and delivery of marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
oTrain and support marketing and sales users on best practices and processes.
oManage lead scoring, grading, progressive profiling, and nurture programs.
oOwn Pardot housekeeping: cleanups, folder structure, naming conventions, and documentation.
oDesign, build, QA, and deploy Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot)/email campaigns, list segmentation and dynamic content.
oBuild and maintain landing pages, forms, and tracking (UTM, GA/GA4 event mapping).
oSupport A/B testing, personalization, and journey optimizations.
CRM Management:
oWork with Sales Ops to align handoff rules, routing, SLAs, and lead data quality.
oTroubleshoot sync, field mappings, and automation rules within Salesforce and data platforms.
Reporting & Analytics:
oMonitor campaign tracking and analytics to ensure campaigns are performing according to expectations. Including email deliverability and remediation steps (suppression lists, authentication, sender reputation).
Strategy
oDevelop and implement strategies to optimize campaigns and measure performance metrics.
oPerform market research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
oCollaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure marketing campaigns are aligned with business goals and objectives.
Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
·3-5 years of experience in marketing operations or related field.
·Experience with Salesforce Account Engagement, Marketing Cloud, or other automation systems.
·Strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM (objects, flows, field mapping, permission sets).
·Solid SQL or intermediate Excel skills for segmentation and analysis; familiarity with reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) a plus.
·Excellent communication: translate technical constraints to business stakeholders.
