Position Title: Social Media Specialist
Department: Compliance and System Security
Job Purpose: The Social Media Specialist manages internal and external communication and collateral that promotes PCBS’ mission, vision, and values. In this role, this person will play a key role in developing, implementing and optimizing social media strategies on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish, ASL)
• Experience with Meta Business Suite; and a solid understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.), including their algorithms, and hands-on experience managing corporate social media accounts.
• Knowledgeable of human services and/or developmental disability services
• Passion for the mission of PCBS and for empowering individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience managing a Google Ads account.
• Proficiency in creative suite applications like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva required.
• Must Possess, maintain, and operate a personal electronic device for the purpose of communication, two-factor authentication, and tracking hours worked.

Provides Marketing and Communication
• Provide input, opinion, and solutions as a team member of the PCBS Marketing Team.
• Create and curate high-quality (e.g. graphics, photos, stories, posts) that highlights PCBS programs, services, community partnerships, client stories, recruitment initiatives, events, advocacy efforts and milestones.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of social media channels: scheduling posts, monitoring comments and messages, responding in a timely manner, and maintaining a consistent voice and brand style.
• Ensure all communications are accessible (e.g., alt text for images, captioning videos) and comply with relevant legal/privacy guidelines (including for individuals with disabilities).
• Maintain a content calendar, ensure timely publishing, and coordinate paid social media campaigns where applicable.
• Partners in the development and distribution of multimedia content related to PCBS.
• Coordinates photography and videography assignments.
• Assists with creating the agency’s Newsletter.
• Supports internal communication for the company SharePoint site.
• Facilitates Mobile Neuro Diverse City (NDC) events
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations, including PHI and ePHI.
Secondary Functions:
• Attends all meetings and agency functions as required.
• Performs all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
• Job demands include extended periods of sitting with some periods of standing and walking.
• Will occasionally require lifting up to 25 pounds, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or bending as appropriate.
• Will require periods of driving agency vehicles.
• Office based role with noise from persons served, office machines, and telephones.
• Will have a substantial use of computers and/or other devices and screens.
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites.
