Director, Public Relations – Shark Home
About the Role
As Director of PR for Shark Home, you will lead U.S. PR strategy and execution while serving as a key partner to the VP, Brand Communications & Partnerships. You’ll develop and deliver bold, innovative communications programs that build brand awareness, drive consumer demand, and protect and enhance SharkNinja’s reputation in the home category.
You will work closely with the marketing, creative, social, and partnerships teams to ensure PR is fully integrated into multi-channel campaigns. This role is hands-on and results-driven, requiring a mix of strategic thinking, creative ideation, and flawless execution.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute an annual U.S. PR strategy for Shark Home, aligned with business objectives, product launch priorities, and global brand positioning.
- Partner with the VP, PR & Partnerships to ensure Shark Home PR integrates into the global PR and partnerships vision.
- Monitor media, competitor activity, and cultural trends to identify timely storytelling opportunities.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Lead PR planning for major product launches and category moments, ensuring integration with IMC, social, creative, and partnerships teams.
- Oversee the creation of compelling press materials, messaging, and assets that resonate with media and consumers.
- Secure high-impact earned media placements across consumer, lifestyle, and trade outlets.
Media & Influencer Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media, influencers, and content creators in the home, lifestyle, and design spaces.
- Proactively pitch stories, thought leadership opportunities, and product features.
- Serve as a spokesperson when appropriate.
Agency & Partner Management
- Manage and direct retained PR agencies, ensuring they deliver against KPIs and brand standards.
- Collaborate with celebrity and brand partnerships to amplify PR efforts.
Measurement & Reporting
- Establish and track PR KPIs, reporting results to internal stakeholders with clear analysis and recommendations.
- Apply insights to optimize future campaigns for greater impact.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in consumer PR, with strong exposure to lifestyle, home, or design categories.
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact PR campaigns that drive measurable business results.
- Strong media network and exceptional relationship-building skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Experience managing agencies and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Agile, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
