What you’ll be doing…
The SEO Consultant will be responsible for maximizing the volume and value of organic traffic to Verizon Connect websites.
Working with our agency and a diverse group of people across the globe you’ll devise and implement a strategy to increase our exposure on the web using the on and off page optimizations, link-building, content and meta-data shaping.
We have offices in over 14 countries and even more websites. Being within the digital marketing team you’ll have a supporting cast that understands what you’re trying to do and can provide the data and skills necessary to effect the changes you envision.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting cohesive, compelling SEO strategies that guide the development & content processes. This may include site crawls, content audits, linking strategies, redirect mapping, local, and data analysis of site performance.
- Providing actionable insights for site improvement based on data and competitive gap analysis.
- Measuring and reporting out on the effectiveness of organic and marketing strategies and performance.
- Communicating strategic visions to internal stakeholders and partnering across the business unit including marketing, design, development, and IT teams.
- Establishing and promoting SEO guidelines, best practices, and standards across business units
- Maintaining expert level understanding of latest industry trends, guidelines, and algorithm changes
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
- Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
- Four or more years of experience in SEO
- A background and portfolio of having delivered both single channel and integrated channels campaigns that have delivered business performance
- Advanced user in Google Analytics, SEMRush, Google Webmaster tools and other industry tools.
- Experience working with and managing an agency.
- Knowledge and experience with html.
Even better if you have:
- Knowledge and experience with salesforce.com
- A strong background in data and analytics.

Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $91,500.00 and $159,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
