Position Description
The Digital Media Content Coordinator plays a critical role in achieving The Harris County Clerk’s Office (HCCO) communications objectives by producing high-quality videos, photos, social media, and website content.
As a vital member of the Communications Department, the Digital Media Content Coordinator will be responsible for managing HCCO’s social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other channels.
Additionally, they will assist with logistics for special events and programs while producing content for all HCCO departments. This position will highlight the agency’s successes across all social media channels, email, and web pages.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Films and/or photographs events, programs, employees, and activities for use across various print and digital platforms.
- Edits, retouches, crops, and/or color-corrects images and videos.
- Develops and implements innovative, effective, and comprehensive strategies to manage HCCO’s social media presence on networking sites.
- Manages day-to-day social media activities and creates a wide variety of rich content, community outreach efforts, promotions, etc.
- Researches and recommends new technologies and opportunities that enhance HCCO’s social media presence.
- Develops, implements, analyzes, reviews, and reports on the effectiveness of social media and email campaigns to maximize results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years’ experience in communications, public relations, or related fields.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must possess beginner to intermediate photography and video production and editing skills.
- Must be knowledgeable in Adobe Suite CC.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of social media strategy and trends.
- Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
- Must possess a positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Must be motivated, self-driven, and possess strong organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to take the initiative, think creatively and prioritize responsibilities.

- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
