We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager – Search to join our team on a 4 month fixed term contract basis.
- Contract: 4 month fixed term contract.
- Working hours: 35 hours; Monday – Friday.
- Location: Hybrid. You will mostly be based at home and although you will be very welcome to work in our London or Horsham offices as often as you wish, there is no expectation for you to do so on a regular basis.
What a day might look like for you
As our Digital Marketing Manager – Search, you’ll be at the forefront of our digital strategy; you will define and deliver the strategy and will be responsible for maximising the performance of our search activity across all digital channels.
We will look to you to:
- Set the direction for organic search.
- Monitor and report on our organic search channels.
- Develop and implement cutting edge search strategies. You will focus on SEO, YouTube and emerging search technologies like voice control.
- Analyse data and optimise performance. You will use tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Set and report on KPIs; you will provide senior level insights on the performance of our search activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and agencies, whilst ensuring consistent messaging and maximising efficiency across all digital channels.
- Foster a high-performing and motivated team by leading and mentoring two direct reports.
- Innovate and explore new opportunities, ensuring that the RSPCA stays ahead of the curve in the ever evolving world of search.
- Contribute to vital animal welfare initiatives.
- Drive engagement, fundraising, and behaviour change.
You can find the full job description attached to this advert but in a nutshell, your day to day role will entail:
- Designing and delivering comprehensive SEO strategies.
- Writing content to maximise clicks and impressions for SERPs and AI engines.
- Managing and optimising YouTube and other search channels.
- Conducting in-depth search research and trend monitoring.
- Implementing both onsite and offsite optimisation techniques.
- Developing and analysing data dashboards and reports.
- Working with the Digital Analyst to define attribution and improve conversion rates.
- Collaborating with various RSPCA teams to ensure alignment and maximise impact.
- Managing budgets and agency relationships.
What you’ll bring:
You can find the full person specification on the attached role profile but brief, in order to succeed within this role, it is essential that you have:
- A degree in marketing, business studies, communications, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a similar digital marketing role.
- Proven experience of research within organic search.
- Expertise in technical and non-technical SEO, YouTube, and the latest search trends.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, and Google Ads.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience managing budgets and agency relationships.
- A passion for animal welfare and a can-do attitude.
- Experience with GDPR and PECR.
- Experience in audience and creative treatment development for digital campaigns.
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
